Varner Motorsports issues

As the original poster, I think I’m the only person who got anything back from Varner but I literally went after him from every angle I could, everyday, for months. There’s another guy I’ve been keeping in touch with who has been waiting over two years for his stuff and still doesn’t have anything back. Now this is a third party story so keep that in mind, but he informed me that he had a lawyer message him on Facebook (not calling him a liar by any means but seems weird for a lawyer to message someone on Facebook) and told him he better take any social media post down he has against Varner. He also has been after Varner very aggressively and filed a couple claims with BAR. Apparently they sent someone over to Varner’s and he gave them the same old “oh I’ll have it done this Friday” which I’ve heard that a million times from him myself. From what I know, BAR didn’t seem to help the cause going forward.

Holy shit. I have no knowledge how businesses work over there and what kind of regulations/governing there is. But if this would've been where i live, no way would this had been allowed to continue. Someone would've intervened.

I am not after Varner..i am after my parts and engine and to Get the motorwork i paid for in 2019 done so i could enjoy riding my bike. I have used Terry several times, Even been visiting him in 2002 and 2005 and his work is top notch. The fact that i live in Norway makes it difficult for me so my hope was that someone here now Terry and could talk with him on my behalf - personal issues and health problems is something everyone faces during a lifetime, but good Communication and customer service cant hide from that..i had i guy reach out to me and he had three engines build over the last months....please DM me if you live in California or somehow could help. For that i am grateful. Thanks Erlend

You should use Dan Batterby hes a great engine builder.

I'll add to what he posted. I did get a message from a guy on Facebook in poor English and worse grammar. Asking me to take down any social media. Then it went away.

I did file with the BAR. They visited Terry and he told them he would get it done. That was a month ago.

Bottom line is I still don't have my motor. It will be two years in December.

Terry contacted me to make sure he had the correct address. I haven't heard anything else yet.

I told him I'm not going away. He owes me the work and the motor.

It's bad business to see that he's done it again with another guy.

Tom Morgan for modification of cylinder/head and Millennium for a simple replate and matched piston. Those are my go to guys.

I have kept up with this post and shaken my head in amazement. I would have been on a plane and taken my shit back in no time. Are people this naive that this man will follow through with his word ? No police or lawyer would be efficient in what I could do in person.

If some of you guys have sent Terry money...and have not received your motors and whatnot back in over a year, why are you coming here and whining about this? Nobody here can help you...at least nobody has so far, from what I can tell.

Unfortunately sometimes business is just freaking business...and even though Varner might have "personal issues", that shouldn't stand in the way of business. He should at least communicate. If he doesn't...or won't, then your next move is to sue him for damages and unfulfilled work. Sad but true...sometimes you have to get ugly to get things done.

That position might be unpopular, and thought of as callous...but it's the truth.

Varner even told me he had to get that motor done so his buddy could race.

Each week the tells the BAR my motor is next. Nothing. Plus there's that guy on here form Norway and a kid in Nevada that's having to same problem.

Customers deserve to know about this.

All those people who say how great he he is should contact him and tell him to finish my motor so this can be done with.

Just stay on him....That's what I had to do. 20 months for a full mod is very excessive but I finally got it back. Lesson Learned...

I'd recommend that all you guys getting ripped off to pool your resources and hire a private investigator to go after this grade A chode muffin. A guy following him documenting and taking pictures will make him very uneasy. It wouldn't hurt to also contact your local representative or senator. You'd be surprised at what they could help you with. I hope at the very least you could give him a swift kick to the balls.
