Baggett needs a ride. A guy with that much speed (and decent consistency) should never be without a ride. He's great. Top of the motocross food chain or at least on the high end of the food chain.

Out of a job because riders get mad? Out of job because sponsors afraid of the truth getting out? Do the big 5 OEMs really give that much money to a site like Vital? Seems most of the ads I see are from smaller companies.

Well then I guess we're back to assuming and guessing what's going on and have a couple people give a couple nuggets from "can't reveal my source but I heard..."

All they have to do is cut you off. Cut off all access to the riders, teams, employees

Piss off one team enough, others can join in and you're standing outside looking in.
Piss off the promoter or sanction, how will you work with no credentials or access?

Butler Brothers MX is responsible to pay their riders. Maybe bonuses are directly from KTM, not sure.

Sounds like a bunch of 17 year high school girls! If you want to be taken seriously as a "Professional Sport" then start acting like one!

Lets be honest... it's just a fucking dirt bike race... we're not curing cancer here folks. If the teams want to be treated with respect by the media, then they need to show that respect back. Teams and riders either hide everything or outright lie to the media and then get pissed off when the media calls them on it or speculates.

Get frustrated all you want about it, doesn't change the facts.

Maybe you should could be the Journalist to change it if you're so passionate about it. Get in the pits, spill all the dirt and then let us know how it goes.

Baggett has had his Florida property for sale for a few months now, so retirement has always been sooner than later.

Hopefully Blake heals up and gets one more shot at a title. If old man Osborne can do it so can Baggett

Most of the riders are probably not as educated as a 17yo high school girl......

So that’s not too much of an insult.

Now if you said “Sounds like a bunch of ‘homeschooled’ (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) from the age of 10 and didn’t really crack a book or learn full social skills adolescent males”, that would probably make more sense.......

Has anyone thought that Baggett might just want to enjoy the family life? Not train so much and be home more?

From the limited understanding I have, his father runs a successful business, why couldn’t he be taking a job there?

Just a thought

Would you rather race a motorcycle all of the country, or work a 9-5?

Big what-if career, and such a shame. I think he had a few of the most mercurial speed rides of all time. Millville 12 or 13, the year he washed over the little table? Good lord.

“Smoked” not too sure. Tomac admitted he was shot from hammering fencing all week. Not the best Tomac we’ve ever seen that race

I don't think that was the race that Tomac used that excuse. I believe it was Unadilla.

I noticed the last time they were at Thunder Valley the "fun police" made sure that line wasn't an option anymore Sad

Didn't Baggett pull out of the race at Pala at the last minute? I wonder if money was the real issue and he wasn't actually injured?

Glendale 2019. After red flag restart from Mookie's crash in the whoops. (2020 was a triple crown swept by Roczen)

Baggett is a badass. I hope he gets another shot. Very deserving of a ride pending an update on his injury

Seriously, who doesn't want to see Baggett lining up? You're not a fan if you don't... If it is the lingering injury, I hope he takes the time to get to 100%. I'm counting on the Matthes tweet being correct. If it is, he'll get a ride once healthy.

Pretty sure Baggett isn't washing his shit!!

Typical 9-5
Monday - work 9-5, wash shit from riding Sunday
Tuesday - work 9-5, workout
Wednesday - work 9-5, ride
Thursday - work 9-5, workout, bike maintenance
Friday - work 9-5, go out to eat with wife
Saturday - yardwork 8-12, housework 12-3, BBQ 3-6
Sunday - check emails so not behind Monday, maybe get to ride, do something wife wants to do

Repeat 49x year, 3 weeks vacation
Not too glamorous, maybe racing for a living would be more funHuh

Baggett is one of the very few non-factory factory riders that is a real threat to win at any given event if he's really "feeling it". At the very least, he keeps the top-5 guys in check.

I too hope he's not packing it in. I hope he's just taking time to heal, and consider his options.

So what exactly is Baggett's father doing for work? JT$ made it sound like working for his dads business was much more lucrative than motocross racing.
