So Xact suspension, cast clamps, no start assist,, and lower end hoops is all?
Gets the same engine with the same clutch as the KTM, and brembo brakes.

If I recall, KTM also has Xact forks. That’s just what they call their newest iteration of the AER forks and shocks

I’ve never been a fan of pretending a bike is a different brand because the plastics are a different colour but I do really like the look of these GasGas bikes. I just like red bikes and I love the idea of a more basic bike at a lower price because all the fancy parts were always wasted on me and it’s good to have another option. If anything, I wouldn’t mind if they find a good way to make an even bigger gap in pricing, I Would happily give up 15HP (on the 450) and 2kilos compared to the SXF for a $1000 discount.

You're correct, I read (and even typed) Xact but was thinking Xplor.

The video shows what looks like a factory edition 450 with the exhaust and clamps (likely just showing off the accessories), but the actual production 450 uses forged clamps like the 250. They have solid mounted handlebars as well (yuck!), similar (identical?) to some of the KTM off-road stuff.

What do the handlebar mounts look like on KTM's SX line? Are there rubber bushings?
Pardon my ignorance.

Rubber bushings, identical to what most Japanese bikes have.

Nice offering of OEM aftermarket parts already too which is nice. The factory option Brembo brake calipers look sick.

If they're looking to be KTM's entry level/affordable branch, they gotta do better then $700-900 cheaper.
I've got to agree, here. If they'd gone a cool $1K lower...priced the 125 right-up against the YZ (The GG is $200 more)...if they'd "gone there"?

They would have/would see much more "hype" in the media.

Here's my list of differences I've noticed...so far...

No Map/TC/Start Mode switch on the bars.
Std header/No Resonance Chamber (EXC450 header?)
Std Silver RIms/No markings (I'm guessing Malaysian Excels?)
Maxxis tires (Or so it appears in pictures)
“Forged” triples with Solid Mts

As things are, the MC450F is the same price as the YZ450F: $9,399. But, the YZF has alll the goods. I really think they need to "under-cut" the other brands if they want to make the marketing push based on "value".

But, there is the ongoing commentary that the Autrian based engines (KTM) are more durable/longer lasting...so, there's alwasy that. I will say this, my cluches last longer in my KTM/Husky engines than they do on my other bikes. Also, the brakes/brake components are always top-notch.

As I sit here and think about it, I'd have gone with the RMZ price: $8,999.

That would have made a lot of believers. Even if it meant making a few more compromises in parts/suppliers.

Psssst...over-here...and don't tell nobody! Just noticed they sell the Map/TC/Start Mode switch as an acc'y...so, it's got all the capabilities in the ECU. Shhhhh!

Same general idea as the Japanese bikes, but different integration. See this post for some detailed photos/description:

The KTM/Husky mounts have a lot of twistring issues due to their design. The solid mounts of the GasGas clamps will fix this, but they'll transmit dramatically more shock and vibration to the rider.

I won't lie, these bikes do look pretty slick. Can't wait to see the race team next season, whoever it is riding them.

Can someone explain to me why calling this a red KTM is always met with such negativity. Is that not essentially what it is?

Really not that long ago there was no current KTM, Husky, GasGas

Now???

Holy shit.....

What a line up of brands and bikes!!

Imagine if they had bought Alta as well. Personally I think that would have been a match made in heaven for KTM/Alta.

I would gladly buy any of these brands....

I agree, that video (and the GASGAS office building) are pretty awesome and creative, I own KTM's but that vid makes me want to get a GG bike too.

The only bike introduction video that comes close to this was the one where they made up Kenny Roczen up as an old coot on the porch to introduce the new CRF a couple years ago...

They look badass. Dungey brought KTM to the dance, he will do the same with GG. I know this because I saw two dolphins surfing clean 6ft waves from Teddy.

Three more colors to go then KTM will every color of bikes that are sold in the US. Who are they going to buy out next?
Who cares, the strong survive in the big boy game. If you play with the big boys you die with the big boys.

I’m wondering if this will make the PHDS Mount a direct bolt on without a new top clamp?

Would be cool if they could outfit these bikes with some KYB SS forks and create some brand differentiation.

I must say I was not keen at first on the new bodywork of the GasGas, but after seeing this it looks like it has some potential...

I think it will be cool to see what Troy Lee does with the GasGas colours. I think the KTMs have been dull the past couple of years.

Just stealing Motodesignerguy's artwork and adding a bit more. Probably just missing Redbull & Go Pro.

That would possibly make it the best motocross bike out there.

Might have to replace my 17 GasGas EC300 with a new 21 EC300. Looks amazing. Love the 17 in almost every way...so reliable.... but it is a complete pig when having to pick it up and manhandle.

Man, this is a beauty. I've always thought GG bikes were some of the most attractive ever made.

Would be cool to see them bring bikes the others don’t offer. How about an mc300 2 stroke?

Factory edition with cone valves stock?

Silver rims honestly look amazingly good on this bike. Hope TLD runs with the "lighter/faster" silver/red look.
