Why are we still killing Barcia to defend DF?

Too bad Peick is not around any longer.

Barcia is an amazing rider but foolish. Karma will come calling one day.

What did they say about that rookie pitcher in the movie Bull Durham? " the guys got a million dollar arm, but a five-cent head"?

That description fits Justin Barcia perfectly.
Barcia has been pro what 11 or 12 years now?? He’s ridden the same every year. And many before him were even more dirty. “Karma will come get him” uhhh when?? It’s called motocross. He’s an aggressive rider. The sport would be insanely boring without people like him. Quit being soft and enjoy the insane shit he can do on a dirt bike.

Didn’t Ferrandis do that to Craig and Austin Root at Red Bud 1? The move on Martin was dirty. He had zero chance of making that pass.

He made the pass. He got up first and in front of Jeremy Martin.

On this planet, with our laws of physics, yes. He physically manipulated his body and bike to go from a point in time and space following a rider, to a point in time and space leading same rider.

it's a "pick up" pass,

You crash in to the guy ahead of you on the last lap if you can't pass him, and who ever picks the bike up first wins.

Difference between Ferrandis and Barcia is that one is racing for a title. DF gets aggressive, but he doesn’t seem to repeatedly knife across the track just to take someone out. I’m sure someone could find a video and argue he does, but it is the exception and not the rule.

Yup! Ferrandis will not yeild a race line even when it’s marginal, whereas Barcia will create completely new lines just to put him on target for a takeout.

At this point I think we just need to accept that some people just really dislike Ferrandis. I think they are a vocal minority. From what I can see, way more people are a fan of Ferrandis and really like what he brings to the sport. Let the haters hate, the rest of us can just enjoy the racing.

Whether you are fine with a rider being dirty, and whether a rider is dirty are different questions. Some people are fine with riders being overly aggressive and dirty, others are not. But whatever your view on that may be, in my opinion, both Barcia and Ferrandis are dirty riders.

not sure if its dirty, but Barcia went into that corner way too fast to be able to hold his line

Ferrandis is no different than Barcia. He dishes it out but doesn’t like when he gets taken out. He bitched last year about Cooper and this year about Mcelrath. He’s been racing long enough to be in the 450 class but he makes rookie 250 decisions. He was faster than Jmart and didn’t need to take himself and Jmart out to get around. He didn’t even have the line to pass that’s why he ended up going up the side of the track. Racing incident or not you can’t deny his decision making is bad. How many top 450 guys do you see taking themselves and the guy they are passing out? Ferrandis did this atleast twice this year. How does he get such a bad start consistently on that Star Yamaha? It’s crazy, he’s getting to the first turn behind privateers.

The point of me starting this thread was to note the hypocrisy of some members here, as more than a few were criticizing Ferrandis for a very minor incident with Jeremy Martin, while making excuses for Justin Barcia’s Hockey-Style slam passes at the same time.

It sure seemed xenophobic to me...

Both Ferrandis and Barcia seem to have a lot of "racing incidents" so my guess would be that a minor incident is viewed in a much bigger context.

I like Ferrandis, he seems like a good dude and a badass rider. I like to see people come to America and make it

He rides fast and aggressive, but some passes are a little desperate. Can’t really fault him for trying tho, def keeps it interesting with these Tomac beast mode charges lately.

I’m not a huge fan of any single 250 guy yet so it’s been fun to watch unbiased this season😂

Ha ha, slow down during the race, you're going way too fast!!

I don’t understand why a lot of you morons can’t just watch a fuckin race and take it for what it is. We need more aggressive racing anyway.

Not really fair, ya know?... there are guys out there racing to put food on their tables... guys racing who actually want to try and win.... but.......

Then you have Barcia...... zero fucks given where he places (sponsors gotta love that part)... the only F he has, is maintaining his "bam bam" image by rollerballing anyone/everyone that gets within 5 feet of him.... then, if you confront him, he runs and/or cries... Barcia has zero shot at any title (ok, he might have a shot at Canada), so he has no problem making sure your title shot gets F'ed too.....

Yep DF would never cut across the apex to the outside and take somebody out.

Somehow Barcia escapes even frontier justice like a cat. Here he is breaking Tyler Bowers leg:

And here he is getting squared up for it. Keep in mind Tyler Bowers got DQed for this move, but Barcia didn't even get a slap on the wrist for his.

Ferrandis should just embrace the hate he gets from these idiots. Start destroying guys when they are being roadblocks. Instead of waiting behind Harrison for 3 laps on that one lined track he should have blasted him right as he caught him

I think the point of this whole thing is no matter what Barcia or Ferrandis does they will always get blamed for stupid stuff even if it wasn't intentional. It's always look at what they did. Let's just get past that. These guys are aggressive riders and they really want to win.
