That 2nd moto ride was fantastic. The intensity and commitment he brought were inspirational.

He rode inspired. So cool to watch. He rode like that when he won A1. Throwing huge whips. He was feelin it.

And Yamaha kept Plessinger instead of Barcia...🤦🏼‍♂️
Let’s see how that works out for them.

He put on a damn good showing and was awesome to see. Was also great to see Eli and Justin chalk it up after the race too!

Different kind of salaries. It's more they kept Plessinger and hired Ferrandis.

I’m sure Bambam will not be without a ride next year and actually, sometimes they should more think about opportunities to ride even if it’s not factory race team, instead of big Dollars.
Those Yamaha rock river, ktm Rocky Mountain, Hep Suzuki, are really good, show at every races that they are there and their riders are doing really well. Even more on 450 class, you don’t need a “lot” of things to make those bikes ready to race ..

He's got to be the strongest guy out there. He throws that bike around like its a PW50.

You don’t see guys throw down like that on the last lap let alone battling a guy during the moto. Lets hope he’s feeling it this weekend

I have no idea what the number was, but I can’t imagine Plessinger was that cheap. He just came off multiple 250 titles, and was the hottest property in the pits the year he moved up to the 450s. As I recall, there was more than one manufacturer after him that year. When Barcia came to Yamaha, he wasn’t in the same position.

We were standing just below that jump. He had just made a sweet pass in the left hander before it, maybe of Marvin or AC. Immediately throws that crazy whip. He was flying and knows how to entertain.

I don't know if the broadcast caught it yest but last lap of the first moto he passed Zach and it looked me like Zach ran it in on him. They both almost came to a dead stop but Justin stayed in front then proceeded to do the same thing to Zach he did to AC. Threw a big whip right in his face looking back. It was epic

That's the kind of ride that'll get new people into the sport. You show that race to anyone and they're going to be picking their jaw up off the floor. Barcia is a fucking beast.

One of Bambam’s best rides to date. His double leg steeze passing AC was one for the books. I’d love to hear AC’s take haha. I was on my feet for that ride.

Ignore him. Phil hates Barcia and can’t help himself.

Haha. All good, but credit is due and it continues to show just how good these guys are and what a difference bike setup and confidence impact their results. Like him or not, that was badass instead of a 30 second runaway snooze fest.

Barcia was stupid fast yesterday. I genuinely thought he was going to win that second moto the whole last 20 minutes. I hope we get this multiple more times this season. When Barcia rides like that I don't know anyone who can't be a fan..

Not sure why the down votes, but you hit the nail on the head. If the GasGas deal is not 100% done, I’d be willing to bet that Yamaha will do whatever they need to do to try and keep him. Every rider seems to ride better/ try harder when they are looking to secure a job, but Justin has always been one of them to give you hope that he can turn over a new leaf. If he could only figure out how to keep that intensity going to the following races, he’d be a title contender. He’s got the talent and the Yamaha is working well for him. I can’t see Yamaha letting go of him, if he continues to put in that kind of effort. With all the changes on that team lately and moving on into ‘21, they might get past the struggles that they were having. When they (Yamaha) hire people to do a job and they give you feedback on the bike, but you don’t listen, it’s hard to improve the bike. The new regime will have a solid leader who listens and the riders will get what they want, which may be what Barcia needs. And he would be able to keep his A-Stars gear deal, which is rumored to be in the $500-$750K a year range. That alone would seem like he’d want to stay on a bike he’s riding well, since Yamaha cleaned house. I’d like to see him on the GasGas, but if he continues to ride that bike like he did yesterday, leaving would be a big gamble.

A lot of vital commentators said Tomac would be lapping him all season. We’ve seen some good racing so far.
