Marland Whaley. I knew of him on Montesas after '78 but, first, and, primarily (for me) as a Honda (Works) Trials rider, on the RTL305 and 306s., before that. And those Hondas were Trick! They were not the "bials" production bikes, that's for sure! 5 times US Trials champion, did The Scottish 6 Days Trial a few times . He was a major rival in the US scene to Bernie Schreiber, 1979 World Champion. Those two really pushed each other. I think I first saw 'floating turns' and other near balletic moves done by both Marland and Bernie in magazine...

Toni and the rest of the top trials guys are incredible , I saw them in Rhode Island in 2015 , But we are in luck, they are coming back to the US the weekend after Red Bud, July11-13, I'm almost as excited about going to take photos there as I am for Southwick next weekend.
