The following is from a Friend of Vital who knows a whole lot more about history and fuel than I do...

The whole fuel thing with RC that people need to remember it was trace lead found in a fuel that was agreed upon by several people the AMA went to for opinions (fuel industry peeps that were competitors to VP). Everyone agreed that the trace amounts of lead were most likely contamination, and even in the fuel did not yield any definable benefit. In fact, Suzuki was using a lower grade fuel (not using the best power available from VP) as it was a 450 where power delivery was key, not raw power. That was the basis for the final situation.

That is different than lead contamination being in Yamaha's fuel with Reed on a 2-stroke that can benefit from even a minor amount of lead. That was the reason for little ground to reverse the Reed/Yamaha fuel penalty.

Now on to today’s situation... it’s pretty cut and dry that the rules are in place, the AMA has made some good gains in testing methods and labs the last 10-12 years. I will also say when situations come up they might not be sending press releases in 48-72 hrs. However, they DO test the B sample as well as take many factors in accounts such as margin of error of test method, the fact heat has an effect on fuel results post-race (fuel changes over course of race due to heat), etc., etc.

My point 🤷‍♂️ The fuel BS of 15 years ago is just that...15 years old. They have not dropped the hammer on someone unless it is a clear blatant breach of the rules and they have exhausted all areas to confirm results.

Let the process run its course. One team might be in the wrong badly and one might be right... no one will know until the proper results come back from the lab and we get a ruling from the AMA.

Agreed.

Dude, you put way too much research into such a bad take.

You lost me at "and it would have finished how they were running". No, it wouldn't have. Wouldn't have mattered. Chase made up a 7 second gap on Shane in the HEAT RACE, and Shane started ahead on BOTH re-starts. Even without the red flag, Sexton would've Chased him down (haha).

You don't deserve a championship for getting holeshots, or MA800 would be a 15X champ. You don't deserve a championship for qualifying position, just ask James Stewart or AC9.

I never said he didn’t get flat out beat. He did, we all know that. Mistakes cost McElrath the championship. At the end of the SLC1 laps led were Shane (41) to Chase (11). So yes by not riding like he should have McElrath handed Chase the championship.
Lol. You’ll word things in every way possible to not admit Chase is faster than Shane. There was no “handing over” of any title, it was taken and earned every step of the way.

Very strange. Not a word mentioned about this on RacerX, SWAP or MXA websites. I think it would be big news and all of the moto media would be all over it. Why is this?

All the ranting aside.

Am I the ONLY ONE that watched Chase HAND THE LEAD TO SHANE...?
(After the RED FLAG...After the restart...)

And, as a Shane fan, I saw Shane was not able to run away from Chase.

I'm just keepin' it real. Grinning
Why aren't you a Sexton fan?

I'm not bashing him because of his personal beliefs, I'm bashing him because 130,000 Americans have died from a virus and meanwhile Shane is constantly talking about how God is helping him win a fucking motorcycle race...

That is some next-level delusion, which he is welcome to believe. But if he's gonna talk about it every time he gets in front of a camera then I'm gonna talk about how dumb it is.

Also, gotta love how I'm the "offended" party when y'all are the ones reacting like this to what I've said... GuyB talking about banning any talk of religion or politics and I'm the offended one??

And also while using the "full retard" clip, which is an outdated and hurtful term to intellectually disabled people and their friends/families.

Not only did Chase hand the lead to Shane, Shane then handed the lead to Chase!

Just look how discussions devolve when religion and politics are brought up. It tends to start out nice and then goes downhill. All I will say is that in my opinion, if Shane gets on the podium or is doing an interview, he can discuss his beliefs all he likes because that is the time afforded to him to thank his sponsors, family, God, and whoever else.

For real? Youre going to foist up a navel gazing, collegiate freshmen argument? HahahHhHaaaaa

"How can there he so much pain in the world if there's a God?" Herp de derp. So original, so trite.

For what it's worth, l was raised a in a strict Mormon household and although l do not believe as they do now, l understand to absolute doucheyness of the aggrieved athiest and their petty attacks. I used to zing my Pops for fun and the pain on his face hurt me when l did it. Now that he's gone l wish l'd been a little more understanding and a little bit less of an asshole but we were very good before he passed. I just wish l'd been as cool as he was by letting me live my life without critique. He was always showing me the right way to act but sometimes l was too fucking knuckle headed to see it at the time.

What the fuck do you care? And sorry, you do look weak as fuck for caring about this at all.

What are you even talking about? I was detailed in my response and wasn't name-calling or being derogatory towards anyone. You have no basis for what you're saying.

And if we're playing this game, why does it matter to you what I say about Shane's beliefs? As far as I can tell, you don't enter into that equation anywhere. So the only reason I can come up with is that you're also a steadfast believer who gets upset when I make fun of Shane's delusions.

Lol, calm your tits dude. I don't care if you believe in a god. Btw, I literally grew up in the Bible Belt and used to be a Christian. If you really want to debate this topic feel free to PM me. I have a LOT of reasons for why I believe what I do and I'd be more than happy to share.

Also, I feel like you just vented a lot of issues you had with your dad and took that shit out on me. Not much else would explain the unrelated ramblings I just read. I suggest seeing a therapist.

I came here to find out if there were any updates to the fuel protest and walked into a religious debate.

I actually did not know that about the fuel issues in the past. Thanks for posting.

They said after the sighting lap, Shane pulled into Chase's gate and Chase was like WTF?! Then Chase had to go pick another gate.
