I said this elsewhere, but in the podcast Matthes did with Reed (released Saturday) Chad is pretty blunt about the problems at factory Yamaha. Everyone wants to blame the bike but maybe the staff need a refresh.

It is not a smart (or right) move that Barcia thanks 'everyone' except Yamaha, the team that gave him a chance when no one else was. I am sure he has been paid well too.

Burning bridges is not the way to go. Not thanking your main sponsor when you thank everyone else is not smart or right. The rest of the players in the moto world take note. You thank all your sponsors even if they move on from you.

Also, his post-race tirade at Tomac a while back is not something a factory team wants to be associated with.

Stoked. I can't wait until Barcia gets off that bike, it nearly bucked him off again yesterday. Happens every race. Looking forward to seeing him on any other bike next year other than blue.

At the same time, he has provided them with results. It takes two to tango.

I'm sure DF will be fast on a Yamaha 450. The bike is good but not were it should be to compete consistently for the podium.

Something to do with the chassis / engine position is off. I stand to be corrected.

I think Barcia is Barcia’s problem. And this is coming from a Barcia fan.

Barcia had really good results this year. In a perfect world, he'd be reunited with Kehoe at Honda/HRC.

To me that is more evidence of a management void where they were. KTM has had plenty of big egos who probably don't get along under the tent, and the professionalism has remained largely in tact.

Listen to Barcias post race interview with Matthes after the 6th SLC round. He is incredibly open and honest regarding the bike and the team situation, i can't remember when i have heard a MX/SX rider be that open. I almost thought it was an interview with a MotoGP rider at first.
Have you heard Ken Roczen speak?

The Bike is not the issue. The bike and team can win races. Barcia finished 5th in points. Lets be honest, the 4 ahead of him are just all better riders. Fact.

AP7 has struggled with injuries for 2 years and bike set up. I think he is struggling with the set up and his riding style in Supercross. I look for big things from AP7 outdoors. He might surprise you.

TLD does them now. Jason Beam is pretty much fucked within in the industry after his little racist tirade.

I give a ton of credit to Barcia and bubba for winning on the Yamaha. Something about the Yamaha 450 sucks for the top guys. If you’re Dylan do you sign factory Yamaha? That’s really the only spot right? Rocky Mountain couldn’t afford him and JGR is up in the air.

There are talks about Star Yamaha 450f bikes next year, if Yamaha pays bills it could work out fine for DF14?
If you want to see him on Yamaha 450f on SX track watch this years Paris SX replay he was fastest guy out there.

If I was Tony Alessi I'd be trying hard to get Barcia and dump Justin Hill....then again as mentioned above, Barcia likes riding outdoors.
Rocky Mountain would be a good fit for him also but theres the Fly (in the ointment) deal lol.

Seems like the only 2 teams that would be mutually beneficial for Barcia have 2 major stipulations that wont work with Barcia.

He should hit up Reed and figure out how to do his own team then but he cant keep Astars if he doesnt have a factory ride. .....man what a conundrum

The bike definitely seems like the issue. Ever since they went to the motor mounting change it's been a struggle for anyone on that bike.

Webb may be the perfect example. A couple years on that bike nearly ended his career and then two years on another manufacturer have produced a championship and a bundle of wins.

Also the rumors of AC taking less money at Kawi and turning down a reportedly large offer at Yamaha to stay away from the bike doesn't look great.

Seeing Barcia at team Tedder or Rocky Mountain could potentially work. I think a bigger name will go to Team Tedder after Davalos' speed at SLC. People forget they are running the same bike as Rocky Mountain and apparently have full factory support.

The bike has been fine since 2014. Even the 10-13 that everyone will admit was real bad was still competitive. James won on it and josh hill stayed in the mix most of that season on one.

Dylan sure looked good on the current 450 in Paris. I bet star would have the bikes dialed in a month.

Barcia wasn’t that much better on the factory Honda and some years worse.

Every year Yamaha picks a couple guys that wouldn’t win the title anyways and then everyone blames the bike

James won on an 09 Yamaha. The bike changed a ton and he looked terrible on it.

AP7 is just not a top five guy yet. Maybe he will be but not right now.

Just because you win a 250 title does not mean you will be a top guy in the 450's.
