Web is a hard racer, he seems like someone that would push the boundaries but not cross the line. I like in post race interviews when he loses he gives props to the winner and says the other guy was better on the night.

Not like some that make excuses or use if’s or buts

Webb commented just last race when asked how he likes this new format..."That is the most money I have ever made in a week!"

And in the interview with Zacko just now on NBC Gold he talked about being aggressive because of all the money he can win for his family.

Looks like he tried to run him off the track in the 1st turn fighting for the holeshot

He definitely tried to put him down with that brake check. Hope Tomac pulls out a win on Wednesday and wraps it up.

I'm definitely more of a Tomac fan than a Webb fan, but that first corner stuff could have happened no matter who was there. If Webb really wanted to just take him out, a brake slide wasn't the easiest, most effective way.

Not that I think that Webb wouldn't try a takeout, I just don't think that what occurred was all that bad or maybe even intentional.

It was a great save by Tomac, either way.

It was intentional. Watch it again. Cooper's got that racecraft.

I think that folks can read into it what they want to from the comfort of our couches. As I said, I'm not much of a Webb fan but this this butthurt type of reaction over every movement on the track is simply silly. Webb would likely have slid into whoever was there, and it was Tomac at this time. These things happen on the starts.

I agree that Webb has incredible racecraft and bike handling skills, and that is probably the biggest reason that I think that if he truly was intent on taking Tomac out, he would have made it done a solid job of it.

Intentional. In a subtle not obvious way but Coop knew what he was doing there.

Obviously mastered as a subtle racing incident (hoping for a DNF) but most of the racers would have done the same in Webb's position.

Eli probably rides around in 3rd to 5th the last two races. Let Kenny and Webb bang each other around.

He should know he can't go near those two.

As a career long fan of Tomac I have to admire Coop's desire. His move was subtle, just enough to catch Eli out but not be blatant. Coop will go down fighting no doubt.

This thing is not over, and if we go into the final round with 3 guys in play anything goes.

He's got a few other frenemies out there to worry about in #4 and #51 plus pretty much every rider on an Austrian bike. Best thing he can do is control destiny and win on Wednesday if it's there.

I agree with your statement but I don't think the win will be there unless somehow he pulls a good start. Even then historically he does not do so great when he pulls a holeshot.

I think this is more like his first 450 MX title. He manages it until the end now. He is only a little faster than those other two guys and even if he had caught them tonight it just opens up the opportunity for Webb to battle him. I think Eli knows that.

But I actually hope he wins Wednesday night and then the last race we can see him go for it.

Webb did more than Brake check Eli in 1st turn. Webb locked up his rear wheel and slide the rear end into Eli's front wheel. The broadcast showed it in slow motion - nobody else had their rear wheel locked up like Webb

So "sign of the cross" Webb at every start gate would rather win dirty than win with honor.. . . very disappointing

Nah man, not really.

Our sport is aggressive, and the fact a rider is smart enough to think about making championship moves in the heat of battle is damn impressive. So many riders struggle to think clearly and execute in clutch moments, and Coop does that every race just as Forkner did this 250 main event.

The fact you bring the religion part of things into it shows you are a hater of Coop, religion or both.

Remember, this is a contact sport. I would be willing to bet you wouldn’t be making that post if it was Eli running it in on Cooper.

Enjoy the show.

To be fair, the way Tomac has been riding this year, he could have gone down, started in last place, and still be near the top 5 at the end.

How much is 2nd place worth for Webb/Roczen compared to 3rd in series? Does Webb take out Roczen now when Tomac is gone?

In Webb's position, I would have done exactly what he did, and in Tomac's position, I would have anticipated Webb doing what he did. It's racing.
Some of you sunflowers need to grow a spine.
Tomac showed great skill in staying upright after that little love tap.

With the advantage of slo mo replay, I can see how a guy might think it was something intentional. But play that at full speed & I think all you see is 2 guys going for the hole shot.

While Webb is awfully good, the split second timing it would take to pull that off intentionally?

No, not buying it.

Seems to me these top 3 guys have a lot of respect for each other & have every desire to ride clean.

We might see a line taken away with contact but doubt any take out moves.

Yea swing arm to front wheel in first turn is Incidental. Webb didn’t give two shits who was behind him and likely had no idea. Only thing he knew is that he felt some contact, but it’s behind him so what. Motor on....
