11/13/2025 4:48am Kit including ecu was a complete package from TD. I’m running 80% premium pump fuel and 20% VP C12……..with oem piston. TD said that I can use their Maps with this fuel mix safely……so far bike is running great.

11/12/2025 4:20pm I m running the dual injector kit from TD with the RP throttle body and vortex ecu, bike runs awesome from first start. Keep pushing to solve your issue, the kit is really good.

If you are considering a 450 beware of the connecting rods breaking as well. Takes out the entire engine. I had a friend have it happen on a 2022 at 22 hours and I think the new bikes are even more of a problem.

9/5/2024 11:22pm Usually I speed shift. I was using Honda Gearbox oil when gear broke. Now I m using Redline lightweight shockproof gear oil as TMR recommended me.

9/4/2024 12:07pm Its my first time ever with transmission problems……… always riding Red, zero issues with Honda’s gearboxes. Indeed is an issue if you are looking for a new bike. Good luck with your search.

9/4/2024 3:37am My YZ250 2 stroke had a broken gear with 7 hours of use. Plenty of cases like mine in the yz250 2stroke community. Yamaha needs to do something.

5/10/2023 9:48am Front fork spring YZ250 2023 it is 0.44…..race tech is wrong……I was having the same issue. I m using now 0.50 springs….for me RT recommends 0.47-0,48…..bike feels much better than with OEM springs (210 pounds naked, I like firmer feel suspensions)…..but I m not using the last inch of travel even after a huge flat landed jump (by mistake)…..I will...

4/21/2023 2:48pm The YZ250 is a great bike….I m enjoying a 23 model. I also have a CRF450 2022 (vortex ecu, full yosh exhaust, KYB A kit fork and shock)…..bike is collecting dust since I got the YZ250. I have so much fun riding the YZ, but my CRF is so much faster and also easier to ride….easy to clear some jumps...

4/7/2023 6:56am This is stock jetting. With a rad valve my understanding is that you can go a bit leaner. below PC recommendation jetting (bit leaner than stock) I hope this help. Good luck!!

Tom has done 4 motor packages for us, all 2 stroke. The difference made on the RM250 was unreal, we plan on getting a YZ250 next, cant wait. His work and focus on the customer is absolute top notch.

Another vote for Tom. He did an excellent job on my 02 CR250. I was equally impressed with his willingness to talk about tuning and engine advice in general. The tuning guide he sent with the cylinder was incredibly beneficial as well. Great guy who does great work.
