Why do some people complain so much on here?
Osborne lays it way over making a pass but somehow pulls it out... 25 comments about something Ralph said... Plessinger making a rythm into a gncc section... 15 comments about Ralph talking about a mustache... Marchbanks setting up a nice pass on Martin... 5 comments on how lame social distancing is...

This. Hard to keep decent track conditions on hard pack baking in the sun and wind. Assuming a reason, and haven't looked closely but are they all at this time?
My understanding is the times are based on when NBC had time slots. For example, this Wednesday's race doesn't start until 10PM Eastern.
?..... there isn’t anything else on tv right!

No fans didn’t bother me as much as I thought it would, being in the daytime didn’t bother me either. If anything it made it seem more like a local race, it gave it a little bit more of a low key and down to earth feel, I kind of liked it, it made it a little less circus-y and easier to relate too. The announcing was good enough no complaints. I though it was awesome until it switched to the stupid fucks rioting which I was trying to avoid watching anyway. Trying to do anything Moto this year, be it go race myself or watch a race on tv makes me feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football. I give. I’ll set my vcr again but I have zero expectations that I’ll actually see a race.

Worked out perfect... I rode all day, came home, watched late broadcast and fell asleep in 5 mins....

The racers put on a great show. The track wasn't the greatest but at the same time had some special challenges and I truly enjoyed watching the racing. As for the rest of the production it is seriously lacking.

Yeah, they really need to dump a ton of sand on the track so it can hold some moisture, but honestly it was impressive to watch them go that fast on that dry track. Racing was okay, but I think its similar to A1, where the hype is so high, and the racers are a bit nervous, so it's always a weird one. Looking forward to Wednesday.

I think if it was in an indoor stadium it would have felt more like home for us. I've never been a big fan of the outdoor stadium daytime races even during the regular season. But any racing is better then no racing so it was good just see them back out there.

I'm in France right now and on saturday I was on a track opened for training. It was hard pack and flat and some of the riders had the perfect throttle control to go though those turns the most efficient way possible. I realised it can be boring watching this at first but it's so technical... so i enjoyed watching this flat sx track we've had yersteday...

Yes mam.

I was very excited to watch racing again and love that it’s back. I’ll take daytime supercross over no supercross any day but I prefer it at night under the lights. Sorry that upsets some people.

I recorded it. Then I started watching it around 8, and after a few minutes I started fast-forwarding through everything but the start, first lap, and last two laps, of each race. I'd like to say I felt like I missed something truly exciting by all that fast-forwarding - but I didn't. To me, Supercross during the day is kinda like warm beer for breakfast: it's not that the product itself is bad, it's that the timing and delivery make it SEEM so.

Turn in your moto card now. I seriously can't believe this shit. I could watch any of these top guys on a track alone and be enthralled by the technique involved in going fast, especially on that dry, technical surface.

And you know, the “short lap times” complaint doesn’t fly anymore. In the past, short lap times meant short races.

It’s just Vital habitual complaining.

Did I just watch an AMA Supercross, or a fair race?

Even if no one is there, Ralph should at least light the candles for us.
watching paint dry wouldve been better

The dry track was awesome. Reminded me of home. Nice to switch it up

I really enjoyed it. Not only was it some f'n racing, finally, but the track was a lot more technical than people give it credit for due to the soil. I don't know how you can call yourself a true fan if you can't appreciate watching these guys adjust their technique for these conditions. Watch Tomac in the 1st 5 minutes vs. minutes 5-10 of the race, his lines change, his approach to the first corner changes.

Come on guys,

Like RC said, whoever wins this one will have won one of the most difficult SX championships in history.

I also enjoyed the purity of it. Less spectacle, more just about the racing. No man-friends there to hold the umbrella or set your starting device, no mechanics, no pit-boards. There's something awesome about pulling all that away and just letting the racers settle it on their own.

Wait you didn’t even watch the actual racing?
What are you even doing on a mx forum?

Network TV, most likely.

Because we can't have fans. And without fans, and without TV, most sponsors would just say screw it, give us back our money, and the series would be over.

But I do see your point. I mean, why the heck wouldn't Dave Prater call every Vitard personally to check and see if we were OK with this format?!?! How disrespectful man!

I thought it was great in terms of watching the fastest guys in the world tackle really slick corners. Watching Tomac power slide through the turn that connected to the start straight with both feet on the pegs was awesome.

I’m just great full that they are finishing the series. I don’t care if it is a dust bowl, same track every race, fans or no fans just get all the races in.
