The sport is relatively speaking tiny, with a tiny media made up of enthusiastic amateurs and bros, and teams who will blacklist anyone who doesn't blow them on a regular basis. There is no media that has enough economic clout to go against the teams - hence the situation in moto. None of this is to say that Jason Anderson needs to elaborate on his health problems.

Here in France at least, people who ride the woods are mostly beginners with little to no technique, with old bikes, no maintenance, no gear, etc. Also 95% of the forests are private land, so as the owners get more and more pissed, they tend to put obstacles or barbed wire everywhere, which is dangerous af! I used to listen to him, then he got all weird during the outdoors last summer (too much drama) and that got boring. He has broken a few stories over the past year that seemed like the “mainstream” media would like to cover up or ignore. On the fence over him-but for sure he doesn’t hurt my feeling like a handful of you in here.. Having RJ, Langston, Plessinger on gives him some credibility you can’t deny..

I don't "follow" any podcast personalities. But hey, if you need an icon on the web, then do what you do. I will say one thing: Matthes has been inside the ropes in racing for a very long time, working as a factory mechanic as part of his resume and he is pretty in with basically all riders in the paddock. Cooksey? Nope. He is nothing beyond his megaphone of rumor and unsubstantiated BS. Matthes may be a fat fucker, but he is a lot closer to the pulse than Cooksey, who seems to think the pulse is somewhere deep...

+1 I have nothing over for Weege, and when i ask people what’s so great about him i never get an good answer. Some people say ”he lives for the sport and know’s the riders”. Yeah well, So do RC and he is still terrible at his job.
