Bondo SUCKS.
According to my brother, Bondo is producing and someone else is directing. They didn’t exactly go the right direction with the settings when they replaced him as director though.
Yeah it was arguably the worst night of production in recent memory and that is saying something. The moment you referenced in particular, shows that there is no synergy between the broadcast talent and production, the camera was on Jett when weege made that call and all they had to do was keep it on him... But no, switch to drone shot of barcia in no mans land (even though the caption said battle for 4th).
Two things are true. As an international (aus) viewer the broadcast has never been better or more accessible, AND the broadcast is lacking to the point where it's embarrassing.
The frustrating thing is its pretty simple stuff, that I haven't seen other much smaller sports have issues with.
I’m convinced they are just in the trailer doing shots, getting smashed and just pushing buttons. It’s horrible and at this point, yes I think I can do a better job.
At one point, the split screen was showing the same thing from 2 different angles

That right there is some HIGH quality production. Some of Bondo’s best work.
Weege tried his damndest but even he can’t save them. RC is supposed to be the rider expert noticing lines and the special things they do in real time but he mostly just tries to generate fake excitement at weird times. Weege was the one that tried to lead the crew into following Jett because he knew what was coming and they STILL couldn’t get it right. The viewers get robbed of such good racing because of incompetent camera work and an overall shit product.
even the split screens.. I’m so glad I have an 80 inch tv so I can watch it on little 30 inch screens to see the same battle While there is a shit ton of empty space showing a blue empty void. At least we have the the timing and scoring that’s all over the place. One sector it’s .05 second lead the next it’s 20. Who cares right? 1 second, 20 seconds. That’s for us to figure out on the riders we aren’t watching battle. Real quality work guys.
RC just wants to record a podcast while guys ride dirt bikes on the screen . 🤣 I also like when Wil gets interrupted by intense action or an important development … but they immediately go back to let her finish the scripted lines . Top three might all crash together in the whoops but we are going to hear what that mechanic said on Tuesday dammit … 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻♂️ …

We don't need split screens! Concentrate on one piece of action at a time. The screens are so small you can barely see anything.
As for Will Shriekson - FFS. We don't need to hear her inane ramblings during the race.
The formula is so simple: 1. Play-by-play guys calls the action. 2. Analyst adds insight based on experience as to the nuances of supercross racing.
But they can't seem to get it right.
They try to do too much. It’s like whoever is in charge thinks the sport is boring, so they have to add all this filler bs. Just show and talk about the damn race!
Weege is a shill. Anytime he hears any complaint about the broadcast, it's all about they are doing the best that can be done, and SX/MX fans are idiots.
I'm a fan of Jett but even I yelled at the TV yesterday. They cut to Jett at some point during the 250 main watching the race on a monitor..........Hey everyone, Jett is watching the 250 main! WTF?! Then during the 450 main Webb was stalking Chase for the win and they cut to Jett 8sec back all alone in 3rd. Cmon
Send Will on special* assignment to find the gay suzuki rider, that will tie her up for a minuite...
At least we can count on one thing;
anytime they “throw it” to Will, it’s almost a guarantee that something is going to happen to the rider on screen 😂
Not sure about the peacock broadcast but on the international broadcast they hot mic the crew at least 4 times a night. I’m just waiting for them to say something bad.
Lmao we had that chance and Darkside gave softball questions about how great of a job he is doing. It was a complete joke, then he tried to defend himself and had to retreat
I would say at this point it is a joke. The powers that be want him in that position for some reason. But the mistakes and the overall quality is straight up dog poo. The sound mixing is laughable, the timing on intros, cuing sound bites, missing the actual race to cut away to an interview when you have tons of down time. The list goes on and on.
Now you can take the stance that we should be happy we have the racing so on so forth. I am a believer in constantly trying to be better, and the race day live, and the overall broadcast are kind of laughable.
On a different note, I chatted with Weege Saturday morning in Indy.
Told him he is killing it in the booth and he said thanks.
He also mentioned that they said to him something to the tune of "where have you been all these years" and he said "I've been here waiting for your call for 14 years" and that he couldn't believe they said that to him.
Glad they did, because he is by far the best in the booth that we have had in a long time.
