Any facts to back up this nonsense ? Seriously damaged after surviving??
He`s talking about permanent lung damage, I assume. Yeah, it does that. But it`s a lottery. Russian rulette.

It gets real when you lose a friend or family member. It is real. It is killing people that you wouldn't expect. I luckily don't know anybody directly who has died. But it is not a conspiracy.

Of course Coronavirus is serious.

But when states declare that recreational Marijuana dispensaries are essential and must remain open, while ignoring the link between diminished lung function and Coronavirus, just how serious are these states taking it? Or is it just that a philosophy of MJ should be legal is more important than any possible consequences?

And then you have the WalMarts open, but so many Mom & Pop stores shut down.

The hospitals near me are so hurting for business, that some may not survive. There haven't been nearly enough CV patients to compensate for nobody else going to the hospitals with all the stay at home orders.

So, no, I trust practically nothing I hear about CV how to you filter out the agendas, bias & intentional misimformation?

Supercross can not return soon enough!!

The problem with this whole virus is everything is BS and anyone can blow holes in any theory. We need more testing! Well apparently a large percent of tests are inaccurate. Antibody testing! Apparently also provides non statistically significant data. Flatten the curve! What's the end game for that?

Anybody can find any news source or article to debunk anything anyone says. It's like Who's Line is it Anyway. The Virus where the stats are made up and the data doesn't matter.

I happen to live in a town in WI on the river border with MN right outside the twin cities. As soon as the WI senate removed all restrictions everything was HOPPING. Businesses open, gyms open, some bars operating like nothing ever happened.

Keep an eye on WI data in a few weeks. WI will either look great for opening if the cases decrease, or stupid if the numbers go insane (Assuming anyone can trust the data).

Ok I'm done /soapbox

This novel(new) corona virus has been around 6 months and we already know it causes permanent lung damage? The flu causes lung damage too (sometimes permanent) that can take 2 years to fully recover.

Speaking of the flu, it was a bad flu year (in Utah as well). They should test for that too.

Jesus, at least leave the non-moto stuff in non-moto.

In regards to people getting tested for SX in Utah, estimates of the percentage of people currently with COVID is 1 in 200: https://covid19-projections.com

So, it wouldn't be shocking to have some people test positive, like 4-5. Does anyone know if they have a plan in place to trace? If I were racing, and I found out someone on my team, like a mechanic, tested positive, I would want to make sure I was not around anyone who was around them.

What I’ve learned is that many in this country are really fussy about complying with temporary restrictions. I’m 58 and not worried if I get the bug, but I know if I change my behavior I might protect someone who is vulnerable.

So what if it’s not 100,000. How many thousand is it? 50g? How would folks behave if terrorists killed 50,000 folks in the US over 4 months?

This was a simple test, and the US leads the would in number of cases. So many folks whining about being asked to where a mask in a restaurant, saying their rights are violated. Is it violating your rights that you have to cover your dick in public?

It’s about protecting the vulnerable, it’s not about the majority of us.
It’s seems like this country’s population is mostly 15 year olds, whining about having to mow the lawn instead of hanging out with friends.

This is a serious illness. This false narative that it won't hurt you if you are young and healthy is dangerous and foolish. I know of young healthy people that have died and others that have been seriously damaged after surviving. There are many unknowns with this virus. The death toll has been greatly under reported. The political policy of preventing widespread accurate testing is preventing correct modeling of the virus spread and mortality rates. The media has come in to play, thus we have the ignorant liberate mentality demonstrated here.
Save some Kool-Aid for the rest of us man..it's hot out here

At least the toilet paper is on the correct way! Smile

Honestly if alot of people weren't fucking slobs with zero sense when it comes to germs and human hygiene, this wouldn't have even been a thing. Its all shit they taught us kindergarten, yet grown ass adults continue to not wash their hands after using the restroom, not covering their mouth when they sneeze or cough, touching their face, etc, etc..... common sense would solve a lot of the worlds problems if only it was used more. At this point, take the warning labels off and let nature run its course.

Don't forget in normal bell curve math, if you kill 100k people getting to the top of the curve....you're gonna kill another 100k on the way back to zero. This will give us a higher US body count than WW1.

ToroP is spot on with his observation about the reaction to terrorists killing even 50k in the past 4 months.

Like others have said.....lets go racing. I'm tired of all the COVID blather.

They seem to forget that demanding your rights without acknowledging the responsibilities that come with them isn't freedom, it's adolescence. We are an idiocracy.

How did your test come out?

Are you positive it was negative, or are you negative because it was positive?

Antibody testing 900 people in a matter of a couple days is unrealistic. Shit, you can barely get an antibody test here in LA unless you are loaded/connected.

Changed all our A/C filters and checked calibrations (we have work areas that -must- be 68-72 deg F & <40% humidity)...and it was HOT up here today.
So, me, too!

I find it interesting that some of the people on this forum ride dirt bikes. Riding is dangerous, you can die and have permanent disabilities. There are many ways to have any one of these dangers happen to any of us at any time, everyday. People can be extreme in both directions with their thoughts and actions. I am an adult and aware of the virus around us. Am I going to put my life on hold till someone tells me it is safe to live? Absolutely not! I will be careful as possible and be aware of my surrounds with others and continue living life..JMO
I bet the percentages of dying in a motocross accident are WAAAAY higher than dying from this Chinese virus

Almost 90 here today. Well 86 now , but by about 5pm , should be pretty toasty.

@Steve......are you staying in Utah the entire time , until all the rounds are done? I bet you'll be doing some MTB over there to! I you mentioned to me before you dig it over there for the MTB scene.

Antibody tests in LA are plentiful and are only like $150.

Well shit, I guess I have been asking the wrong people for one. I have the best healthcare available in CA and I'm still waiting for my appointment. Wink

Oh and there is this little caveat...

"We strongly encourage all LA County Residents who are interested in being tested to first contact their Primary Care Provider or Healthcare Center about receiving a test at their facility. If you do not have access to this care or are unable to contact them, free testing is available across the County of Los Angeles. Priority is given for those who meet criteria below in accordance with new State guidelines:

Symptomatic persons with the following symptoms: Fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and new loss of taste or smell
Asymptomatic persons:
Persons over age 65
Those with a chronic medical conditions
Essential workers in these groups: janitorial, security, airport, government, health care, food and grocery, and more. To view a complete list of the essential workers group, click here.
This is in addition to testing of symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals in congregate institutional settings."
