I have the best of both. My wife picked up an extendable, ratcheting T-handle with interchangeable sockets as a stocking stuffer one year. Made by Skil and it’s handy as hell. Came in a little box with several sockets, hex heads, torx bits, and multiple Phillips and flat heads. Only thing is the sockets it came with are SAE, so I have to carry some 1/4” drive metric sockets.

How is the torque it can handle extended?
It’s stronger than my wrist cares to turn. Laughing If I can’t loosen it with a decent amount of force, I’ll break out a ratchet to get a little extra leverage. I find myself reaching for that little T-handle for 90% of stuff around the house though.

I think that sums up my relationship with t-handles. If I use the 1/4 ratchet, I never have to go get a 1/4 ratchet. I've never been comfortable using t's, but I'm jealous of those who zip around a bike with them.

I build T handles as needed out of ratchet extensions & sockets, w/ a t handle adapter in place of a
ratchet. They break down to fit in the tool box much easier, & they build w/ regular ratchet/socket parts,
so the only additional tools you need are the T-handle adaptors-

I always us a 5/16” instead of 8mm. Fits snugger and reduces wear over time.

Honda actually made an effort years ago to design the CRF to be worked on around a set of T-handles

I love this tool! I still have my original one but the grip surface is long gone.

I also have the Motion Pro (I believe) T-Handle with socket adapters on all 3 ends as well as a full set of T-Handles from MP

I have both Tee handles and ratchets.

I have a set of KOWA T-handles from 1993 when I bought a 1993 YZ 250. I also have a set of T-handles from Motion Pro

The KOWA are much more balanced. They work so well and spin great. They can be bought at Pro Circuit and you have to wait.

Pretty much exclusively use a dewalt. Hand tools are slow as hell.

I have this one. Its also a torque wrench which is cool! A little pricy and I can loosen things with it but it keeps me in check on torque specs. I have a motion pro set also for normal use.

For me the point of a t-handle is just to grab the correct size one you need and not have to deal with changing the socket on the end.

I use Kowa, ASV & Motion Pro.

I keep the ASV "mini" tool in my trail kit along with the ever-so-awesome Motion Pro Ti Wrenches.

OG you cant claim to work on motorcycles without being able to spin a T-Handle and yes one for each size. Quit buying technology guys, it takes all the fun out of it. Hang em on a rack on the side of your tool box. Anyone born before 2000 will know you’re The real deal.

I find t-handles to be annoyingly difficult to use quickly. A socket wrench is far more easy for me, hands down. I had a t-handle allen wrench set that I just gave to my son; maybe he'll like them better than I do.
I don't care what pro mechanics say, what makes me "cool" or what benefits they supposedly have; t-handles kinda suck for me.

Do like the T-handles. Still have and use a set of Race Tools t-handles and Tri handles. What a surprise...

Torque precision. Never drop, lose or snap another fastener ever again.

I do. 8-10-12-13-14-17-19. The 13 is an addition to my nearly 40 year old set. You must have a KTM or Husky. My 13 is a genuine Kowa T-handle.

I have a set of Kowas from the 90s, from ProCircuit. The #2 Phillips from that set is my favorite MC tool that I own. Probably because it is a JIS screwdriver.

I have a set of short T-handles from Motion Pro. I prefer these over the Kowas. I also like my Allen and Bondhaus T-Handle hex tools.

Recently added some nut-drivers. I like these for removing and installing the plastic/bodypanels.

If you want good Phillips screwdrivers for motorcycle use check out Vessel.

I've spent some money there. Good company and some great tools. I own Wera and Felo drivers, no Wiha yet.

I have 2 of those motion pros you can snap sockets onto. I never use them because they are junk. Neither one of them will a socket stay snapped onto. Worthless is what they are was really disappointed in them.

I used t handles often, but I purchased a mini impact makita and it’s amazing. Haven’t used the t handles much since then. My sockets are usually out anyways for the torque wrench.

I still have t handles my dad got me in 97-98 for my trail 70 lol
