Another thing is the personality of the riders, very talented riders dont do well with aldon and last very little time under his program, they dont handle well the intensity and the work load, and they under perform because of it , since they are a lot more refined and precise rider and their performance is not only based on fitness...
Aldon is very good, has very strong points, but it tends to only work well with riders that rely on fitness and commitment, and most of all aldon is very strong on the mental and tactical side of the sport. so if a elite riders is trying hard and still is missing something, a year or two with aldon will give him what he is missing, but just for a while, cuz after a while it will get to them and they start loosing the grit.....
Think about all the riders that were under aldons program, all great elite riders, only a few got to win, and even those didnt last long, all of them didnt last more them a few years,
Yeah...we need it.
One thing ricky mentioned on whiskey throttle was that baker likes to run his guys right on the edge and have them very lean via calorie restriction. Even ricky said he would ignore aldons body weight number for outdoors because he knee he needed a bit extra for the season.Maybe aldons suits bodys that a bit more stocky i.e ricky, villopoto, osbourne, webb than guys that are already naturally lean.
AC and kenny both seem to have gotten way more involved with function strength exercises since leaving aldon and have had success.
It's impossible to say but I honestly reckon if Kenny stayed with Aldon and on a KTM he would have a few more titles.
Likewise with AC he hasn't really loved up to what he could be as far as the lites bikes go.

Aldon Baker, turning champions into champions since 2001.
For Osborne the Husky at the time was miles better than the Greco Honda. He left Honda because he didn’t like the bike.
I bet baker can't even start an old elsinore or YZ.
