I thought the reason that Vegas is not the final round is because the stadium is shutting down at the end of April?

I posted this from Wikipedia a few replies up.

The last event at Sam Boyd Stadium is scheduled to be a Monster Energy Supercross race on April 25, 2020. UNLV’s contract with Allegiant Stadium prohibits any events from taking place at the stadium after June 30, 2020, leaving the stadium dormant after that date. The exact future of the stadium remains up in the air, as UNLV officials are considering selling it or demolishing it.

Why did they move the final from Vegas if the stadium was available until the end of June?
Because the Utah Sports Commission paid a boatload of cash to host the final.

I too am hearing from multiple sources, of Las Vegas saving the series

Think about this, can you imagine the state of Nevada placing group size restrictions? You'd kill every casino and show in Las Vegas.....that's a major financial hit to that state and many companies, large and small.

My casino host friend there who works for Caesars Corp, says it's slowed down business, but seems mostly the elderly are cancelling.

It may be a very creative finish to the 2020 season, but it's not dead yet, and Feld is really busting their asses to try and make sure enough events are run to avoid team sponsor contracts from being voided.

This is a nightmare situation for team owners, especially newer or smaller one's like ML-512's FXR Chaparral Honda team

A mixed blessing. Teams and privateers struggling financially get a break. If t they are racing outdoors then they have some time and money to get squared away for the national.

No way I’d support multiple Las Vegas rounds. The hard pack high speed track typically favors a certain riding style. They would really have to do something to separate the tracks each night for the results to be shaken up making it “even”. Either way I feel that the championship is “tainted” at this point. Just one idiots opinion
Only way I’d support multiple rounds at vegas is if they were to take the track design blueprint from the cancelled rounds and build those tracks for the extra rounds.

Negative on this.. there is a rule in the AMA rulebook that 70% of the series has to be completed to crown a champion. Blair and friends went over this on his latest Main event Moto podcast. They also talk about the best rumor for remaining events. 5 races at Vegas and 2 at Salt Lake.

Chad tagging @vitalmx is the equivalent of yelling Emilio Estevez' name in a night club and having the Breakfast Clubber turn and tip his hat to you

Just heard on the news that Vegas casinos are closing for a bit.
MGM and Wynn closing all their Vegas resorts on Tue.
Caesars suspending live entertainment.

Will be tough to get a race going. Hope so, but wouldn't bet on it.

Feel free to research what they said... i'm just taking the word from the podcast from the people that work with the series and teams.
