No way I'm going to say Tomac has this. He had the red plate after San Diego last year and promptly laid 2 eggs at Minneapolis and Arlington, 6th and 12th just riding around. And Webb will be a factor, the tracks going forward are for the most part softer with whoops that break down. If he gets his starts back to 2019 level, watch out....
Did Tomac have the red plate last year?

Take it no one has seen Kennys Instagram with his giant swolen foot? Doesn't look good

Pretty average use of imagery from KR. Smells like defeat.

Passed twice by #3 with zero resistance and while tired and not concentrating, by Webb.

Those losses have really affected him or the foot x wouldn't be shown.

Because we all know how weak Kenny is, a real quitter. I don't even know why he bothers to line, do you?

Or maybe to show the fans what’s going on. Everyone always complains when riders or teams keep injuries as secrets until they’re healed.

He doesn’t show his jacked up foot, people like you claim he’s faking it or it couldn’t be bad. Then he shows it and people like you claim he’s using it as an excuse. Just say you don’t like him and move on.

He went off the track but totally kept his cool and rode conservatively for a lap before dropping the hammer. I wouldn’t be suprised to see him go on a run from here.
Are you saying Mr inconsistent has won the championship at round 5?

My oldest sons (12) foot looked even better, just a little bruise on a side, but after 4 days decided to do xray. Turns out two broken bones. On a crutches for a month now. You never know.

Tomac is in the best position that he has ever been. A1 was the "old" Tomac and worrying but he has rebounded really good after that. 5 Rounds in and only one mishap, pretty worrying for the rest of the riders at the moment.

I’m not sold just yet.
He got the red plate around this point last year and proceeded to blow it.
This is his best January though.
Webb is his biggest threat I think, he might go on a run of podiums now which is going to put the pressure on Eli to NOT PULL AN ELI !
The only thing we can be sure about is that Eli will win Daytona and Vegas.

There are two types of ignorant people on this planet:
- the first are screaming "It's coming home" and waving union jack during FIFA World Cup
- the second are dwelling here and still ignoring the Chokevatgy curse that was brought upon the green tent and proudly saying "Tomac got this"

Talking of ignorance- The Union Flag only becomes a 'Jack' whilst flying on a boat. You're welcome.

Imo Eli is a lot happier and more relaxed the last year or so.

Also he seems more comfortable in interviews etc looks like hes had some coaching and it helped.

Yeah it’s pretty plain to see or hear. He’s a lot more chill.

I think its a two horse race between Eli and Webb.

Ken will do good at the Triple crowns because the tracks start smoother with more consistent whoops and in the Triple crown its for points. But as we have seen, when the track gets broken down his bike just doesn't work properly wheras Webb comes alive - its really a tale of two setups, Webb is soft and forgeving, Ken is hard and perfect for a baked West coast track but not as compliant and turn on a dime-able as Webbs KTM.

So im 100% certain that Webb and his bike will be in their element when the tracks get softer and ruttier.

Eli can be a boss in any situation and is by far the strongest rider and will muscle his bike in any situation... It could get interesting. I really hope he gets another 7 or 8 wins and gets the championship and overtakes the dunge in wins

I like him; you don't like a comment I made based on my subjective opinion.
I am surprised how much social media latitude he has.
Hopefully he lines up next Saturday.

Kenny mentioned in the post race interviews , that when Webb passed him , he thought it might of been from him just planting his foot wrong in a rut. Damn it , I hope he didn't break it. I wanted to see a fight all the way to the end between him , Eli , Webb , Anderson ,AC , Barcia and Baggett. It's only round #5 and I'm not counting any of those guys out at the moment.

Tomac has only had 2 races outside the top ten since 2018 supercross. DNF at Red Bud moto 1 in 2018 and a 12th at Arlington last season. That’s a 70+ moto/race stretch where he has been incredibly consistent. I think it’s safe to say that the idea that he will just throw it away is an outdated and lazy term that Eli haters use.

Agreed, looking at the results from last year I'd say he was pretty darn consistent.

last year he was leading the pack after round 5 with 106 points , round 6 and 7 he messed up .and dropped to 4th

he is super fast at times like we all know he can be , in control at other times
so far no mistakes and thats important , cant finish outside top 5 in this class or 12th like he did last season

Yep, gotta love the guys discrediting him, he just past rj for sx wins. Best rider in the world last 3 years, sx,mx wins, titles. . But dont let stats, facts get in the way. Oh he hasnt won a sx title, neither has musquin, kroc. Etc. And tomac still has titles and more wins to show for it.

Eli looks to be MUCH better this year. Winning two of the last three and a second. A1 looked troublesome but apparently he got it fixed quickly.

He even looked fast when he got fourth. Just some tracks he can't make up for the bad starts.

Kenny looks much improved as well.

In a 4 race stretch he went 6-12-1-6 while Webb went 1-1-2-1. That was the season right there. Go back and watch Tomac get 6th and 12th. He was just weirdly riding around, especially at Arlington.

I'm not a hater, in fact I'm a pretty big fan of Eli since his 243 rookie days. But even though it looks good right now I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop. History has shown it usually does. I hope I'm wrong.

Webbs’ chance to repeat comes down to the track designs - with few whoops or ones that breakdown for the main, he will be competitive. If long whoops, which don’t breakdown, he is toast. Eli is strong in any section of whoops. It is hard to understand how Eli hasn’t won a Sx title yet as his crashes are usually minor - front wheel washouts, slow motion ejections, but some drama always seems to strike like broken zippier, casual restarts, or front brake issues.
