I didn't mind Ralph until I heard Diffey now I don't like Ralph at all in comparison.

It feels like Ricky has to bite his tongue a lot with Ralph, or correct him, rather than get creative and jive with the flow. After hearing Diffey, I care less even more for Ralph than I did prior. I wonder what Emig and Ricky would be like. They should start swapping Ralph out more often.

Have you watched the broadcast? It's not people just bitching to bitch. While no ones perfect, chemistry is real, and I don't think it's there with Ralph and Ricky...

C’mon, it’s not that bad.. I must say. Carmichael is doing a great job. He’s lean and he has improved tremendously since last year.

RC has improved alot. I like to hear what he has to say, the delivery may not be perfect but he gets it.

You're pretty much keeping an eye on the action to figure out next spots to shoot, planning where you want to be (and when), and concentrating on the style of shot and technical details. I generally have a pretty good sense of what's going on, but can't really follow one particular battle all the way around the track.

Leigh coming in for the first 3 rounds did no favours for Ralph. The commentary was awful in comparison to the first 3 weeks. Diffey is a true professional, the commentary seems fluid when he’s on the mic and he makes his co-commentators better. I like Ralph, he’s okay, but they can do better. Weigandt is much better, works for NBC, I don’t know why they won’t give him a shot at it

At some stage, you would think a bloke would improve a hell of a lot in his Job.

Ralph, really hasn't.

Ever.

Yet, he still has this Job.

WTF?

And No, I'm not a great fan of Diffey. I couldn't stand him decades ago here in OZ. But, he's certainly improved on what I couldn't stand way back then.

There's another thread here suggesting Fro and RC. Fro did his job for quite some time, and, improved throughout the years. I believe he could have easily taken on Ralph's role, but, he's out of the whole thing, now.

So you don't really have a dog in the fight do you .. its all we have, believe me if you watched it all , you would not think the same.. Its like they have no idea what the other one is doing, When you don't have eyes on the race , the lead guy calls the screen action, and the colour guy watches what goes on in the back ground, and the proper live timing.. that way you don't miss stuff.

When you have eyes on the race , the Colour guy looks out of the window when the Lead guy talks about what is on the screen.

No it isn't easy, yes I have done the job.. Diffey made RC better .

I do enjoy the racing and I am glad that we get to watch them mostly live every week. What I dislike is Ralph Shaheen being the announcer. I personally don’t think he is good at what he does and I believe there are people better suited to that position. It’s not personal, but I would just prefer someone else who has better skills than Ralph. Diffey being one of them.

We are paying customers. $80 to watch the stream. Its normal for paying customers to identify a product they aren't happy with.

I hate to say this, but listening to Will Christian shouting over the noise on the floor every so often was more annoying than Ralph. she just kept going on and on, shouting in that high voice about absolutely NOTHING relevant on the track.... sorry I know she’s cute and all, but let the thumbs down 👎 fly 😂😂

Personally i think shes way better then Ralph
She is very sharp, very quick, professional, clearly studies the sport, and doesnt talk about anything irrelevant compared to Ralph "talks about marvins cats" Shaheen.

I really don’t get all that worked up over this announcer thing. However, Starting at A1, I noticed a much better flow in the broadcast and between the announcers. After listening last night, Ralph reminds me of the girl in the room that demands on being the center of attention. His speaking over, interrupting and even body language reminded me of this. Ricky on the other hand has southern manners. It’s not that I consider Ralph bad, he does fine, it’s just that Leigh and Ricky compliment each other and Ralph and Ricky not so much.
