The Ken roczen story line of whether he can return to the top of the sport has been the single biggest story line in our sport for 3 years , in fact the only story that has made it outside of our small sport. The moment finally comes to fruition and you find a reason to complain . We will have Eli Tomac passes on camera for the rest of his career ( this pass wasn’t even for a podium) but you only get 1 first win back .. our sport severely lacks story lines and human interest .. we finally have one and you guys want to fast forward through it. Get a clue guys.

There is time for human interest between and after the racing. It’s short sighted to think you have to neglect the racing to show Ken’s wife’s reaction.
Man .. that’s a lot of split screens we need to show for all those passes that have title implications . How many split screens can you fit on TV, 8-9 mini boxes? Not sure if you are aware but all this racing action that has been captured hasn't grown the sport in the last decade .. maybe try latching on to any human interest stories you can when you have the opportunity? Try something new
maybe?

At least she could see the racing... in Moto GP and WSB they are constantly cutting to the pit crews on the last lap battles 'to show the exictement'... and guess what, now you are showing them, they cant see it either BECAUSE THEY ARE WATCHING THE SAME |THING WE ARE...…… SHOW THE FUCKING RACING.

To be fair Roczen's winless streak and the reasons transcend this logic.

They could have replayed her reaction next week and stuck with the race.

Meh.. save the heart warming stuff for This Is Us or the Olympics. We're blue collar and like racing. That's what we pay for and that's what we should get.

I never get why they don’t show more of the last lap. Always cut straight to the winner

I'll tell you what happened- Tomac GOT LUCKY! He was one lap away from a 6th place finish.

Where's this fabled greatness & beast-mode??
If it was Tomac that fell on the last lap giving someone else a position would you also claim it’s luck? I’m guessing not. Three straight outdoor titles seems pretty great to me, you should pay attention some time.

I was more pissed of with the 250's when they couldn't shop what happened with Craig. Filming Roczen and his wife was something special after almost 3 years of battling injuries. IMO.

Ok, I’m with you. Let’s really follow that logic.
Let’s make it reality tv( hugely popular) and just show highlights and results, between behind the scenes, personal interest stuff.
Riders fighting, wives fighting, that will sell.
The racing sure doesn’t.

Meh, if his wife was hotter we could see her for a second but I would rather watch the racing. They could show the red bull promo girls for a second but I don't want to miss the racing. I already saw Kens crash two years ago.

No don’t worry about all that stuff .. we already have Red Bull moto spy for that ! Check it out .. highlights of races, behind the scenes stuff you never see on tv ! It’s good! Just you know every once in a while on the broadcast we can try something different .. love your classic all in over reaction though . Super good debate tactic

100 percent incorrect, perhaps you need to get a clue and realize motorcycle racing is not for you?

They can tell all the side stories they want after and before the racing. It get's old watching split screens of everything but racing. I really don't care to see a wife, the pit crew, or anyone else except maybe the pit board during the race. My wife even complained about it, she said I'm glad we have a big screen can you imagine watching that on a regular sized screen. It's hard enough to see the numbers on the bikes in full screen. The production crew or boss doe not understand who watches the races.and to tries to add some human interest to it. The human interest is the race when it is happening.

I think the producer needs to step back and have a rethink, any other option would have been better than the one he chose.

How about the split screen where part of the shot was blocked off as well. I'm so glad I can record these and get all the racing in about a hour and 20 minutes.

According to my math. Which is not the greatest. NBC has 180 minutes to show approximately 69 minutes of racing and still manages to interrupt racing with a bunch of bs

People actually riding so they and appreciate how fast these guys are going and how hard it is even though they make it look pretty easy. Is what's gonna grow the sport imo. If you have never ridden a dirt bike can you really even relate at all. Or is it just like a circus act?

The funny part is I have seen many people goto a national race and come home Monday and go buy a bike, thinking that racing a bike looks sweet and easy.

After the first ride they are like F that and sell them and get a boat.

They can produce a separate show about the families and special stories from the riders. People can tune in with a couple of boxes of tissues handy to see the touchy feely stories. As for me, I want to see racing.

Who cares. Tomac had 20 laps to make a move. Would rather watch Roczen accomplish something than a mid pack battle
That makes 1 of us.
Show me the racing!

Kudos to Ken! But I still don't know what happened on the last lap. I could hear the crowd noise but I missed seeing what happened to AC, Osborne and Eli thanks to the NBC coverage. What did we actually miss?

the problem was how LONG they showed her. It went from neat moment to a little awkward to awkward. Cianciarulo had gotten closer to Barcia but fell and Tomac finally passed Osborne and yes i wanted to see those racing incidents

Tomac started 18th. Most who understand SX say his ride was exceptionally good in the Main.

So...does anyone actually know what happened? I appreciate the opinion driven "I want to see the racing....no I want to see the emotional moment...no I want to see..." debate here, but I still haven't come across at least a description of what happened in that 4-5-6 position shuffle, which is kind of crazy to me. I might just be an absolute idiot and missed the wrap-up somewhere (probable), but it would be cool to at least know what happened that resulted in those position changes inside the top 10 on the last lap...

Yeah Ive had some friends that have also.
And I think it isn't what they where expecting. I had 1 in specific that really liked the sport and wanted to like riding but just didn't.

They showed AC on the ground and I guess Eli got Zach on the last lap but didn't see that.

AC washed the front end going into the corner after the whoops. Still no idea where Eli passed Zach.

I can't disagree with that.. But no matter what you say, he was lucky to pick up two spots on the last lap.. His skill didn't force AC in to a crash.
