Who do you have? Despite his past inability to clinch, I think Tomac is the safest bet...but I'm going with AC. Monster Cup showed he has the speed to run with Tomac (who we know has the speed to run with/ahead of everyone else that wasn't there), and I think he has put his tendency to get rattled behind him. Roczen is obviously another top contender, but I'm not sure where he is at with whatever (Epstein-barr didn't kill himself) ailed him last year. Can Marv finally make it happen? Does Webb repeat? Does Anderson have a better showing than last year? WHO YOU GOT????

JA21 comes back to 2018 form and wins the series with his consistency taking 3 race wins and never outside the top 6. Tomac wins 9 but has 3 rides outside the top 10 to end up 2nd in points. Roczen does not win a race but has a very consistent season to finish up right behind Tomac in points. DirtWurx builds more of the tracks with real whoops that eliminate Webb and Musquin from the title fight, they both win races but miss races with small injuries. AC9 wins a main, but has 5 races outside the top 15.

If you're going to have Wilson in your poll you should probably have Barcia. Or have neither.

We all vote tomac while knowing it likely wont happen. How frustrating it is to be a tomac fan

Honestly a tough one this upcoming season. You could tell me Tomac, Roczen, Anderson, Webb, Musquin and I could see all of them doing it.

Be an amazing season if they can all stay healthy.

I'd love to see Musquin finally pull it off...but I fear that ship has sailed. Tomac can...but won't. I don't think Roczen can hold himself together long enough...and I'd hate to see Webb do it again.

I wouldn't be completely shocked to see Adam Cianciarulo do the deed.

This is my take too. If you held a gun to my head, I honestly dont know who I would pick. Tomac is obviously the favorite, but will anything change? Webb is going to be solid without a doubt, his starts and race craft are hard to beat. Will Musquin be fiery enough to take more than 5 wins? Will Roczen be healthy? If Adam can start like Webb, I can see him having strong enough race craft, and I think he has the edge in speed. I dont know if I'd bet the farm on it, but I have a good feeling about his chances. Momentum is on his side.

Dude, you killed me with that EBV side-note. Laughing

I am willing to guess that the 450 SX title will be won by human being on motorcycle with internal combustion engine of displacement below 450 ccm and running on gasoline. That's as specific as i'm gonna be in the first half of november.

exactly my thoughts.
Hope you're wrong on Roczen though

I think Musquin will be a little behind the eight ball with the knee injury. I see him hitting his stride mid season and winning a few but I think their will be a whole at that point.

Love Kenny, and would love to see him take it. But I would have to agree that it might be too much to ask for him to be on top form all season.

Adam, he’s going to be good. But obviously big adjustment. See him winning some races but making costly mistakes.

I think the winner has got to be either Webb, or Tomac.

Tomac has to be so hungry at this point. But maybe that hurts him and he pushes when he shouldn’t.

Webb’s now got experience and there’s no reason to think he’s lost anything from last year.

X3 on this one. I would love to see Musquin or Roczen win. Musquin has to stop having those 2 or 3 BAD results that always puts him out of contention. Top 5 each and every race wins it but that is going to be freaking hard against this field if they all come in healthy.

I’m an AC fan, but people who think he will be in the title hunt this year are absolutely insane. Do people easily forgot all the silly mistakes he made in 250 supercross this year?

I'm also a AC fan and I'm speculating that he will be a better 450 rider. He is a good starter and most likely going to catch these veterans off guard.

2020 Champ? I think so.

I want to see Anderson come into the season healthy and battle with Webb to the end. Those two getting into it would be epic.

I cannot believe how little love El Hombre is getting on this poll. You all remember how good he was in 2018 right?

I went for Roczen but 2 real dark horses here...Stewart and AC, both of them could really shake up the series with a few wins each. AC winning it in his rookie year...history says no way but heck he has the talent...

Gotta agree with you on this as well. He will probably hit the canvas a time or two, but he looks to be finally coming into his own. He's the real deal.

His recovery from that into dealing with pressure all through the outdoors makes me think that was his Masters degree in high pressure situations. Gotta fail to learn. He failed, learned, then executed. Starting his Doctorate in January!

Anderson will be back to his 2018 form, maybe ever better.

He will take the number 1 plate back.

I voted for Tomac, but the more I think about it, the more I think Webb. I don't like Webb, but we saw last year how hard he must've been working during the week and he knew when to go for it during the races. He was consistant. There’s no reason he can't do that again and again.

So much AC9 hype going on. He's a rookie. Do you guys remember A1 and A2 last year? Expect a few nights like that, only when you tuck the front on lap 1 of a 450 main you don't get to come back to 5th, you're lucky to be in the top 10. I know his OUTDOOR season was mature, but SX is another beast and I still think AC is a bit of a spaz in SX racing situations. That will not play well on the big bike. I expect a win and some spectacular rides but also some bad nights. And even though I'm a fan of Tomac, I expect sort of the same to a lesser extent. Wins and a couple of weirdo races like NJ 2017, Indy 2018 or Dallas 2019 where he just can't make it happen. I think there will be nights when Stejrnstrom is giddy when his guys go 1-2, and probably a night or two where they are both outside the top 8 and he is ready to walk away from the job.
