Ok so supercross is right around the corner and we all pretty much know what to expect in how the races are ran and the production of the event.

Can we get an agreement that in race day threads that there will be no complaints about announcing and or the announcers At this point it’s an old wore out complaint and it really don’t add to the experience.

They do what they do in most cases because the production team wants it that way. It’s not like they get hired to just say whatever the hell they want.

The announcers are bad and they either need to get better or get replaced. We have two people that likely would be more than happy to do it. Weege and gl.

It has never bothered me who is in the booth commenting. I can figure out what's going on for myself.

I’m just happy to be able to watch SX.
Complaining about commentary is low on my priorities.

(I would like to give a shout out to commited orthopedic surgeons though - I’ll be back on the bike soonish)

What Boom said. At my house the Warden likes to listen to the announcers to try to figure out what’s going on and she knows to never ask me questions during a Main. I just watch the races and pray the cameras don’t divert to a human interest story while a heated contest rages on the track.

I'm always stunned by apathy and appeals to indifference.

That's all well and good for the "superior" people who can just ignore the awfulness that is the commentating. Good for you but your ambivalence is irrelevant.

And this has less than nothing to personally with the GOAT. I love the guy but he has no business in that booth regardless of his experience.

Finally, it is disappointing to hear all those who know it sucks but ya just don't care enough to worry. I sure as hell bet you don't live your life like that. I bet if shit's broke y'all don't just throw your hands up and say "oh well", no l bet you vibrate until it's fixed and right. The in the booth commentary is broken, it has to fixed and it does lessen my enjoyment of the telecast.

Not sure why so many downvotes. The "It's good enough, here's a participation trophy" mentality infesting our society is a plague. People CAN and SHOULD be expected to grow, improve, and strengthen themselves continually, not to wallow in a cocoon of cozy mediocrity. We shouldn't be afraid to criticize or to demand excellence - especially not from "professionals."
