Took the bars to the chest, rode it out then passed out when I couldn’t breath.
Was scary but man I can’t wait to get back!
But . . . . put the fugging camera away and ride for YOURSELF and not for social media. Take a couple
lessons to get some technique down and maybe do some trail riding and work on some bike handling skills.
It's so much more fun (and safer) that way!!!
Ps . Hope you get well soon . And glad is want to bad
Unfortunately I have quite a few other times I was knocked dingy but never went to the Dr.... My dumbass is doing ok, so you're going to be OK.
Please do quit, it would be better for all involved.
Glad your head is apparently thicker than the average humans but not everyone is you bro
Pit Row
@theycallmebryan we should ride soon. Sounds like we are cut from the same cloth
It’s when I do something silly like that (and we all do if your one to get off the ground often) it just soaks it up and goes POOF like it didn’t even happen. Its actually amazing.
Then I continue on with my happy little life.
Glad you didn’t get hurt worse OP.
Broken ribs can turn into pneumonia really quick if it is too painful to cough or breathe deep.
I can see a couple of things that lead to this crash
1) It's a brand new bike that is completely different from what you usually ride and you are trying to put in a hot lap on your second lap on it. Take your rmz to the same track on the same day and 99% chance you don't even tip over. Plus, you weren't revving it when you flat landed, my 7 year old knows to do that.
2) Put the go pro away and ride for fun instead of likes. Trying out a new bike while worrying about looking good for your legions of followers is gonna end bad. When I'm at the track a good rule of thumb is to avoid the guys with go pro's as most of the time they are goons trying to look stylish for the camera. In fact, I think this thread is an attempt at getting more views on your channel. That crash was was nothing and you're going to quit because of it? I don't think so
You have to be willing to hit that double all day long, all week long...all month long... that everyone else...even the mini brat on the 85 is tripling. If you do not KNOW you have it...If you do not KNOW and FEEL with confidence that you have it...THEN YOU DON'T HAVE IT. If you just keep staying within your limits over and over...eventually your limits will change. Suddenly you will just know "I GOT THIS"...and 99.9% of the time...when you feel this...you WILL have it. When you can down side that double riding fast absorbing the heck out of it...and the next lap you can load up the suspension OJ and land in the flat, and finally you can absorb it...and you are OJing into the flat with total control...and everything in between...THEN you will know you can do it. You will not have to "go for it". You will just know you are ready. Until you KNOW this....YOU ARE NOT READY.
Take pride in putting in the work to build the confidence and ability. When you "just go for it"....you are short cutting the work, and your chance of getting hurt goes up 20x
You could see this crash coming a full lap away. On the prior lap, when that faster rider blew by and hit the triple ("Yeah..awesome")...you could see it coming. Next lap...he's going to ball it up on that triple. That is ego (look at me!) right there. This should be a lesson to you. Develop some discipline and self control. If you can not, then this is not the sport for you.
See you at the track in a few weeks
