Kawasaki has a $1500 rebate around April/May every year for a long time now. If you want the bike 8 months earlier, you pay for it. And who pays $10,000 for a KX450?

Yeah waiting is worth it for sure. Florida the dealers are stingy. But it was 9300 then 700 tax for the title.

Ouch! I'd love to have one when they first come out, but I can't justify spending the extra coin when the bike will sit over winter here in Wisconsin. I got my last two KX450s in spring out the door for $7250. I can't see spending any more than that on a bike personally. Hope to pick up a 2020 in spring.

they dump incentives every single spring. it should be pretty well known a bike will be 1000-1500$ cheaper in march than it will be in august when it drops. I've always bought out of state and paid cash in march for this reason, but we also cant ride in NY so buying a new bike in september to have the latest and greatest doestn make sense as i'd be staring at it from november - february.

also no idea how you guys are pulling 4k+ for 2016's, i didnt have any bites at 3700 on mine in late summer early fall 2018. Ended up trading it in

They do I talked to Billy there and he was super cool and as coastie said it's 6999 plus shipping I was getting ridiculous quotes for 600 from sublimity to Las Vegas. I am trying to get the same deal with a dealer in AZ but he is at 7600OTD with out tax.

i just got the wing seat cover in stock height but have not put it on yet. I sat on my buddies KTM with the wing seat and it felt awesome, especially because my knees are above the seat when standing. He said it really helps him ride longer because he is gripping with his legs so much more. How tall are you? I am 6'4" and did not go with the tall foam as the bike is so flat on top as it is, but now I am wondering if I should have.

I'm 6'4" and have the fastway pegs in the low position and tall seat foam. This is the first bike where my knees actually grip the seat, which is nice but...I went with the phantom foam and I don't think I would get that again because it is so hard. Even with knee braces my knees are bruised after riding from gripping the bike. I'm curious if the wing seat would give me some pad so my knees aren't wrecked and bruised every time I ride.

What footpegs are you using? Are they lower then stock in low mode? Feel like stock low mode is still way to high
I'm running the Raptor titanium from a 2008 KX450. I'm not sure if they are lower than stock because the guy I got the bike from put them on.

I have seen one set of Flo break and another off brand. I only use Ti pegs. I’d use stock pegs before aluminum ones personally.

Yeah aluminum is scary. The bracket is aluminum already and gets wobbly. I need to buy ti brackets or something just haven't bought them kinda pricey.

I've used Fastway stainless steel pegs for many years. Never had a problem. Had them on my2016 KX450F. I used HAMMERHEAD Titanium pegs on my 2019 KX450.

You can use the steel brackets from the earlier KX450F and KX250F. They are interchangeable.

Yeah I know thanks. The paint on those look trashy quick though.

Yeah, I didn’t realize just how bad aluminum pegs were. I usually just run the OEM pegs. I thought I found the solution with fastway pegs but their website says they can’t be run in the low position on Yamaha. That’s kind of stupid considering I could run my OEM Kawi pegs lower. Yamaha is one of the brands that needs the low option...
Anyhow, thanks for the GOOD advice!!!
