How many of you guys missed out on your fantastic pro career because you got married?

On the others hand, how many of you fulfilled your dream of becoming a top factory rider because you were so smart and didn’t tie the knot?

I think of some of the racers who were top factory pros, and then after they retired, their wives left. No need to name names, and it clearly takes two to tango, but it sure makes you wonder.

So, that's the bar for having an opinion on the matter?
Surely, you jest.

You say this like it's unique to them. Of course this is true. Lifestyle, work ethic, dedication, etc all come into play. My ex's family owns a motorsports shop. Did I date her cuz they made money? No. But was it appealing to have a chick (and family) that was successfully involved in the dirt bike life? Of course. If they owned a computer store and made the same amount of money, the appeal would have been slightly less. If she worked at Walmart, I would have likely not been into her. And it wouldn't be because her bank account, but because the ambition and intelligence and lifestyle would have been less appealing. Point is, there's hundreds of reasons why people are with each other and they each play a role in what makes someone attractive.

If he were my kid I'd ask him what the rush is to put it on paper? Nothing wrong with an extended test drive, especially when you're barely drinking age. Especially when she's paid to wear skimpy outfits and pose showing cleavage. How many celebrity marriages stand the test of time?

Look closely, this is a child wearing make up. They are both very young and inexperienced. That said I was 21 and the wife 19 when we got married 42 years ago. I wish them well.

Ever thought of marriage counseling as a career?

There was a factory rider whose wife basically ruined his career by her bat-shit crazy antics around the team and in the pits. He went from winning a championship to being out of the sport in less than 5 years. She is his "ex" now, and he drives heavy equipment last I heard. Betting he wished he had waited until all the cabbage was in the bank...

Let's not act as if though all relationships work out, much less serve to "boost" a career. Some do; some don't.
I’m genuinely curious whom you are referring to

Wait, so you’re telling me women like men who are dedicated, hard working, successful and financially sound rather than someone making $10 an hour at an entry level job???? Who would have guessed????

Seriously, some of you people are pathetic. Leave their personal lives alone and just enjoy watching these guys ride dirt bikes.

Dude is going to enjoy his "breakfast of champions" for a while and the couple will have a 50/50 chance of making it, just like the rest of us. We should wish them well and congratulate the young couple, whom none or mostly none of us have ever met.

In the immortal words of Janis Joplin "Get it while you can"! Hopefully they will be together when they are my age, but if not he had a hot wife for a few years!
