While I can’t say that I understand what you’re going thru as a father, I can say that I understand what it feels like to have someone that you love, taken from you. I’m sorry that you’ve been robbed of many more years with your son. I have two kids, 27 and 30 years old and can’t imagine having to go this. R.I.P. Sidney

he was arrested and charged with murder but made bail in about 3 hours.

There are no words that can make it better, so I'll just acknowledge that you have lived every parent's worst nightmare. I'm so sorry. I hope Sidney's killer gets justice so your family can at least have some closure.

My son is around the same age, and we are super close like you and Sidney. I can't even begin to imagine how to deal with a loss like that, but I wish you all the strength in the world. That was a great tribute, and I appreciate you sharing it.

So sorry for your loss. I truly can’t imagine the pain and sorrow you and your family are going through. What an unimaginable loss. I also thank you for sharing Sidney’s story with us; 27 years is obviously way too short a life, but it looks like you guys were doing your best to fill it with awesome memories.

I type this as I lay on my couch with my five year old son napping on my chest - oblivious to the cruel world we live in. He is always down to watch moto on tv with me, but it usually doesn’t take very long before his eyes get heavy. Today, mine are wet...and I’m hugging him a little tighter. RIP Sid.
