I don’t get it. Us old guys looked up to the Euros like they were gods. We didn’t give a shit if they were winning everything in site (Almost like they are now) and dominating out American hero’s....we just appreciated great MXers👍

I must be a true redneck my families greeting is a one finger wave . The finger wave really started when my brother was battling cancer. My relatives would all get together and take a group pic for him with fingers in the air towards cancer. It has just grown since his passing. It’s just a finger. Racist stuff is one thing but a finger does not bother me.

So much white trash in this photo Shocked The troll in the back is wearing pajama pants. Maybe that part of the track is right outside their bedroom?
I don't think they were all together.. I know that 4 of them were together.. the guy hanging over the fence, the girl in the red short, the shirtless guy with the beer and the guy with the pajama pants behind him.. I am not so sure if the father and son were with them or the guy in the vest as I never saw them talk. I am pretty sure the other 4 guys at the right were not with them and that other guy is actually cheering on Stewart. I was initially standing with these 4 guys but moved another 20-30 feet down the fence because the rednecks were so obnoxiously loud. So it was just these 4 people really and I didn't see any more of this elsewhere at this race and I walked the perimeter of the fence. So this is not about Massholes or Boston fans.. they could have been from New Hampshire, NY state or Pennsylvania for all we know.

The real issue here is the ignorance and lack of intelligence to develop an irrational hate against someone from another country or another race, even though you have never met them and probably have little to no experience with people from that country or race to begin with. it is the dark side of humanity that is drawn out with poor education, bad upbringing, living in a closed world with limited life experiences, alcohol and other factors.

It's a shame a legendary track has such a shitty bunch of people attending. This video always sticks out in my mind. These pieces of shit were acting like a bunch of drunk morons then Dungey goes out and has the ride of his life. Fuck these guys.

Wow, I’ve never seen that video before. Hard to believe that people could be so pathetic. Couldn’t imagine this behavior at any National I’ve ever been to. Really must be a Southwick thing.

I agree with Tokyo Tiddler. I always am fascinated that two humans can hate each other from the other side of the world. The irony in that thought process is when you add in our case motorcycles to the table, then all of the sudden you would think we were family the way we interact over the common subject of “motocross”.
I’ve always been of the opinion that the riders coming over here to race, make a living, and even maybe get their citizenship after Racing is what makes our country so amazing!
For the record my grandfather served at Pearl Harbor and my father in Vietnam.
Dylan is always welcome in America in my book.
Happy 4th of July!🎇

Ummm, seems flipping the bird is a violent crime on here, probably need to add that to the list of new mx laws, no flipping the bird, no racing over 90%, cant wait to see what comes up next week!

Maybe we can get all politcal and some one can spit on some one?

No telling how many times this happens, not everything is caught on camera. I still give props to Ferandis for returning the bird.

Almost seems like karma that nobody from MA finished in the top 20 overall.
Southwick is just a few miles from the Connecticut border. Probably more people at the race from Connecticut versus Massholes.

The point is: bad fans are everywhere
Bad people are everywhere, but it's not a valid excuse to be an asshole.

Here is the thing-I have never understood the mentality of the right people seem to have to say and do whatever they want because they bought a ticket to a sporting event. If they ever pulled that shit outside of the event, they would get their ass kicked. I don't believe that you are offered immunity because you paid to get in to an event. Want to boo? Okay. Want to get personal? Sorry, get thrown out. Don't care what sport or how much you paid to get in. This is why I rarely go to live sporting events, and I am a huge sports fan of most things, especially racing. Too many fucking knuckleheads.

At least the loud four stokes help drown out the drunk hill jack hate. Wait until they are all out there on electric bikes....🥴

I don't care what anyone says, you can hear fans on the side of the track when you're riding and I'm sure James heard that punk yelling the N word every lap. It's a shame that those guys aren't the only ones like that at the races. I think over time there were less of them, but they're still out there to this day I'm sure.

2 wrongs don’t make a right. I’d be a bigger fan if Dylan would’ve just kept riding and not given them the satisfaction of a response.

Edit, on 2nd thought I probably wouldn’t even give them the attention. Maybe a thumbs up like Stew was giving the guys that were flipping him off.
And then Ferrandis straight smoked everyone in moto 2! 🤠 Yeehaw 34.

I don't need a picture of him flipping off a douche canoe to like Ferrandis, he earned my respect the first time I saw him ride.

I’m glad Chad never felt any racism, maybe a little bigotry in the US, as far as I know. Too badass I’d reckon. He should have won a Deadly award. Australian’s will know what I mean.

That guy should be the poster child of...How To Make An Ass Of Yourself...at every event. Lol.

In this kind of situation to take the right decision in a split of second is really challenging, and I am glad Ferrandis took the best one. I guess the "fan" was a bit surprised that riders are not robots. It is a weird time we live in because with so much desinformation i think people are becoming more and more crazy and disrespectful ; most of the time i go outside i am puzzled by the level of stupidity some people can reach.

Exactly this.

I was in Red Bud last year for the MXON. Was amazed how some people were huge fans of the European riders. Most of them were very respectful about anyone we talked about and asked us a lot of questions regarding their performances in the GP's.

However, also had a few short conversations with some (drunk) 'fans' that literally said horrible things about Herlings/Cairoli in my face. I guess that you have people with common sense and straight idiots in any sport.

Ferrandis handled this well. Just imagine packing all your stuff, leave your family to chase your dream in the States and get flipped over by some assholes like that. I would give them the finger as well

I don't think many people know Reed is part Aboriginal? That makes it even more funny.
