Discussion: Most controversial moment in Motocross?

Brian Deegans Ghost Ride as he won the 1997 125 SX race at the Los Angeles Coliseum...Was that not controversial? We got fined $1000...2 die hard Moto XXX / Deegan fans paid the fine for us. Was well worth $1000 as it's still a win that is remembered today unlike all the other 1 time SX winners. We still own/have the ghost ride bike! A historical motorcycle indeed!

RC had the testicular fortitude to stand up to the AMA and fight for justice. No disrespect to Reed, but he didn't fight the AMA on their BS (and he should have IMO).

You mean when RC/ Suzuki got caught? RC quit riding a Honda in 2004.

The biggest one to me was the twat that used a laser. All the other one’s were either team tactics, politics, or dirty riding. But the laser incident was malicious which makes it the worse one of them all.
Twat = Jeff Alessi

Jeff pretending to be innocent. Geez, they didn't have a leg to stand on and were still arguing with Matthes.

Keeping in mind "dumber" is not a word I am not quite sure what to make of you...or your accesment...given your trigger points I will loan you a lever to pry yourself off of Ricky and Jeffery's balls...
They are simply pro athletes...not ones to look up to neccesarily; It is laughable that you are offended by me poking fun at your heros...
I will now excersice my constitutional right to tell you to go "suck a fat one"
If you're trying to prove you're smarter than someone, at least make sure you're correct:

• accesment = assessment
• excersice = exercise

Have the best day ever.

What about Joey letting Eli by for a Million dollars.
May not be for a title, but I bet the claw people were pissed.
More than a little hypocritical.

Tomac was upset with Marvin over the Dungey incident that didn't have any bearing on the championship and complained about KTM team tactics. Tomac didn't appear to be upset with Savatgy's rolling over move that got him the Million.

Yes. Roeder eventually sold it to someone on the west coast . Cycle World magazine got ahold of it for a full examination. I believe Jerome Heiberger raced it a few times locally also.

I can't believe that no one has posted about the kid claiming deegan's bike at Loretta's and them letting dbag brian sit in a room and intimidate the kid into dropping the claim.  Total BS.  They even threatened the kid's sponsor.

Roy Jansen.

Turncoat to Insport.

Instrumental in eliminating the 500 class, while owning one himself.

Now DC's right hand man.

On track: the Alessi/Tedesco incident at GH.

Off track (well, beside the track): when JS7’s mom went up into the crowd at Southwick to take a racist sign away from some assholes.

The Jaroslav Falta incident is especially sad because I believe he’s passed away, so even if the FIM wanted to right a wrong they would be too late. Not that they ever would anyway....

Not heard Falta has passed away. Gernady Moiseev who profited from Falta's exclusion died about 18 months ago.
