Jake Masterpool, did I see that right?

Anyone here know Jake Masterpool? Did I see correctly at Fox Raceway, after getting mixed-up in a crash with another rider during the race, he stops picking his own bike up to lift the bike off the guy he crashed with? Hero move in my eyes.

I think the other rider was Tyler Bowers? I would expect no less that that from any of the Masterpool family. They are a class act family. We have raced with them for years.

Yeah, Bowers was stuck like “dude, a little help here?” Then Jake flips Bower’s bike over... and it lands on his bike. Can’t win, lol

Not the first time we've seen this.. still a first class move. Though, I can't imagine seeing a dude trapped under a bike and NOT helping.. I suppose some are more wired for altruism than others though. I did think it was ironic though that Jake is running Tyler's old number. I'm definitely a fan of these Masterpool boys

Dean has beaten him in every race so far this year so there is always that.

But back to the Jake Masterpool thing, that is a seriously good move and speaks to the character of the bloke off the bike. I hope he keeps up the good results and stays healthy through the season, im still kicking myself for missing out on his first round fantasy bonanza.

I didn’t see the cause but it did look like he was a little reluctant and perturbed by it all. Bowers being Bowers? Or just another “racing incident”? Either way he’s a solid dude.

Ferris sits in 8th overall, right behind Barcia and right in front of 4 other factory riders.

I don't get the logic sometimes, if the factory's all put only 1 bike on the track there would be an uproar. But if they put on more than one rider and they're not all immediate race winners and title contenders then they're not deserving and somebody else should have their ride based on finishing behind them on inferior equipment.

I got a good laugh at Pulp’s post race interviews when Steve talked with Bowers about that incident. He said Masterpool stopped and got back off his bike to help Bowers even though he didn’t really want too, he was cursing and swearing the whole time.....lmao

I dont think anyone with any knowledge has claimed that he is a title contender. Ferris is a much better choice over masterpool every way you look at it.

Ferris has a lot more in the tank than what he´s showing now as well. He´ll get there.

But sounds like a great move by Masterpool. Its one of those things that I feel really makes the motocross vibe so great. No matter who you are, people help eachother out.

Same thing happened to me and caught on camera. This was right after the start and we´d just had a huge crash and one of our fierces competitors was stuck behind our crash but instead of just riding away after the pack, they stopped and lifted the sidecar that I was trapped under (with a broken pelvis) and made sure I was free until the medical and track crew arrived. A class act I will never forget and a wonderful showing of sportsmanship <3.

He just needed to lift the bike slightly so Bowers could get out from under. He didn’t need to flip the bike onto his own bike. He probably broke something?
I thought it was strange.
Anyways helping your fellow rider is the right thing to do, most would do the same..

Bowers went thru the rut and kinda endowed exiting the rut. Masterpool was following too close to get out of the rut and ran into Bowers and the bikes tangled. There was no take out.

So 1 moto can tell you he deserves a factory ride in the States ? He is a good rider and good for him wanting to come to the States and compete. But my point is Masterpool can't even secure a B level ride and has similar results as Ferris this year.

Bowers IS a big dude- but Masterpool is in fact a little taller.

The Masterpool family is one of the best families in racing and an absolute pleasure to work for.
