Ways to remove boot scuffs from backgrounds

Title says it all. Went down in a corner and my boot sole left a nice black streak on my number plate. Anyone have any tips on removing this? Figured I’d ask on here before I use the wrong thing and screw the numbers up.

Spray some contact cleaner in a rag and wipe. Then follow up with some SC-1 or other plastic shine stuff.
I do it all the time with no adverse effects.

MAGIC ERASER!!!! WORKS GREAT ON WHITE BOOTS AND SEAT COVERS AS WELL.

I use green scotch bright or an sos to get it off and then a heat gun to smooth it back out.

Never rub graphics with contact cleaner- it dulls them instantly! Plain old gasoline on a rag takes off boot and light tire marks, as well as the adhesive that holds the graphics on (that oozes out around the edges over time. Gas doesn't affect the graphics at all. Just keep rubbing lightly...

WD 40 works well for me. Also, if it's not too bad, hand sanitizer wipes will work too. Neither will dull the surface of the background.

I don't use SOS or scotch bright on newer plastic. It micro scratches it and then it shows dirt/mud easier. On older beat up plastic I will use just about anything like ajax or soft scrub.

Berryman's B12 carb spray is good for taking off rubber scuffmarks off of side panels.
