Never ridden an electric bike, but I am a huge fan of the movement.. noise isn’t important to me (even tho I ride a 2 stroke)
Look at what Tesla’s are doing, it’s mind blowing!

However, it may surprise some people on here to know that Suzuki purchased (and runs) an R&D facility in Silicon Valley a few years ago. What do you think they are doing over there?

If you go back and watch that Ron to the future video, it now shows Ronnie JR on the electric Honda. I think Ron pulled some shit to at least get the kid on a Honda dildo bike. Somewhere somehow I know Ron is solely responsible for shutting down Alta.

Actually, he is wrong. They sell many products with electric start. If they wanted it on the RMZ's, they'd have built it. Things like electric start are unnecessary and only add to the expense of a dying sport.

At first i thought they kept the radiator shrouds to look like a honda... but now I see it has radiators. Anyone know Why?

HOnda through Mugen have been racing the Zero TT at the isle of Man for a few years now and winning, doing a 121mph average lap last year,

it will be interesting when they use that tech in a consumer model for sure,

To cool the electric motor. There's still heat created that needs dissipated.

after riding an Alta I personally still think it needs a clutch. So much of our riding ability and styles come from being able to fan the clutch, rev up the engine for specific obstacles... or just to do a quick burn out/spin around on a tight trail.

Battery and motor cooling. Electric vehicles are all thermally limited so they don't burn up. Also you lose efficiency in a battery and in a motor when they get too hot

I never got to ride an Alta but that was always my big question. I can't imagine grabbing for it into a turn out of instinct and just having nothing there.

You can do all that by just twisting your right wrist on the Alta...

It took me a while but I have to agree. Also since the demise of the 2 stroke, we don’t have a whole lot to lose as far as noise goes. I just hope the electric power plant allows for some extremely radical bike designs, at min what that KTM electric trail MXr looks like.

There is a video of Malcom Stewart spinning some fast laps on one. He had zero complaints about the power. I imagine the power is all there all the time, so a clutch is not needed. If you are used to moderating the power with the clutch, like so many of us are, it would seem strange at first I imagine.
