Not sure how many of you guys listened to Main Event Moto but DB is saying that he heard that Bam Bam's injury/concussion is more than a week to week and a little more serious than they are letting on to be. Anyone hear anything else?? Haven't listened to pulp yet so not sure if Matthes has any details on it. Also, not sure if heard wrong but Stank Dog said BamBam and Baggett were training at Aldon's??

Totally missed Barcia's concussion before it was mentioned on the race. Really shame.
Isn't Aldon working only with KTM and Husky this year?

I thought so too, but Stank made a comment saying he had some "pretty good sources" claiming Barcia was out there. I can see Baggett being out there cuz he's KTM but kinda surprised if Barcia is training there too.

I just hope that Justin wasn't too badly hurt and can come back strong for the end of SX.

If you’re knocked out cold you shouldn’t be racing a week later. Only those that experienced a concussion before can relate to how messed up they make you feel. I hope it’s not too serious. Just when we was getting back on his game he had that injury last year in SX and now this. Concussion is way worst than a broken bone in my opinion.

I rang my bell pretty good last Saturday and felt great on Sunday and could have raced but took it off and again this weekend because being older we don’t recover as quick. Common sense

A broken bone can fully heal, concussions are cumulative and unless you take the full recovery time, even a jolt without a head impact can incur symptoms.

You think you could of ridden, chances are you would of started to feel pretty shitty after a few hard laps.

Scott Sheak's podcast on PulpMX a couple of weeks ago was a real eye opener. I feel really bad for that guy. He sounds fuuuuucked up. Sad

Yeah, I heard that too. Also on Swapmoto's podcast with AP he said they were training at his place. Just found it odd that Barcia was supposedly training with Baker...

I started a thread a couple days ago pretty much calling Justin out for poor performance...and I didn’t know about the concussion. Pretty sure GuyB clicked it, and he had every right too. Sorry guys...my bad. Best wishes for Barcia’s quick & complete recovery.

He’s planning on racing this weekend. News from a team member. Of course it’s not a for sure thing but that’s the plan.

I saw a story on instagram the other day of everyone eating lunch at the bakers factory and it looked like Baggett was eating at the table with them.

I like Barcia, but he just needs to hang it up when is the last time he finished a season without missing multiple races?

Dude was pulling top 5's this year and last. He needs to get healthy season, yes. But that doesn't mean he should hang it up.

I am not saying he slow , just saying I think it's been years since he had a complete season.

You want to add Bogle and Roczen to that list as well? Or even Webb?

The title was about Barcia.

True, but your reasoning was it's been years since he had a complete season. Well, same situation for Roczen, Bogle, Webb, Bloss and a few others.

Hope he's OK. Remember in his ill-fated 2017 on the JGR Suzuki he had at least 2 concussions as well.

I listened to the Matthes' pod with Scott Sheak last night (finally). Geez, every guy who has ever been concussed should listen to him and consider proper recovery times. Quite sad.

I haven't seen any updates from the team yet this week.

fMRI must have at this level of pro competition. He has probably had one, we will never know, but if it is clear, his brain is ok, if there are any after effects of the trauma that will take time to heal. High risk if not fully healed.

Didn’t he win recently?
When was the last time Roczen ran a full season?

He won Anaheim 1 (mud race)
Didn't Roczen have full season '16? He had first hand injury '17 and last year second one.

Hoping that's the case but definitely prefer for the guy to be ok to do so. I've never had a concussion but a few buddies have. For sure something not to be messed with.

A few buddies and I were helping Mat Hoffman move some ramps to his house the week following his concussion from the Big Air comp in 2007ish at the X-games. He accidently blew through some stop signs, which makes me wonder if he should have even been driving that day. I sometimes am concerned for him and Pastrana with all the head injuries they have. I remember Travis being interviewed after a Gravity Games crash. He was making no sense at all - like a boxer post fight from a K.O. .. Hope Barcia has a safe and successful recovery.
