Damn fine looking Kawasaki right there.
I think if you've got a bike as bad ass ole #10 there it looks just as good or better than the restyle kit. But if you're going to do a rebuild that new kit makes your old 125 look super sweet.

$335 for plastic? Guess it’s another incentive not to crash haha. As others have said, stock trim looks better once you throw new fender and plate on.

Cool they are offering updates for older bikes but that generation KX didnt need any help IMO.

I agree. I think that bike looks BADASS with just an updated number plate and front fender like this Twomac bike. A lot of you guys have some great looking KXs!

Maybe I'm biased, but I just think the 03+ stock shape is completely timeless. It never looks bad.

Like many others have said, I'm not sure if I can jump on the KX re-style bandwagon:

Agreed. Suzukis problem is the tank. Its huge and old school, so theres no hiding it. On the kawi the tank is very small and already hidden behind the shroud, it tucks behind the frame too, thats the whole battle. So now they can do whatever they need with the new shroud... making a much better result. These are gonna be a huge hit. This is great.... as looong as they drop the new kit next year too.

...The 2020 250 is getting the new plastics. Someone already did a kx250 with the 19’ 450 shrouds and it was AMAZING. Hopefully they release those next year too, that way the people who like this look can restyle as this bike, and those who like the new look can do that. The more options the better.

Those front fenders make the front of the bike look fat.

Started a 2005 kx125 project for the 2 stroke world championships this year and I'm REALLY feeling this kit, I just wish they had some better plastic color options except for the ugly looking green. Doing a bunch of cerakoting out of my garage shop on it

That’s not a restyle, that one is actually in a 250F frame
Looks great tho!

What class you planning on racing? I'll be doing 30+ B probably.

Hmm only thing is where it meets the gas tank is crappy looking...

Wtf is up with this?

Looks horrible. Looks like instead of making their own kit they sell u a hacked up 250f kit with some shitty brackets n stuff that doesnt line up. Is that how these work?

If it is that would make sense... The brands patent the shape and “look” of their bikes. I dont know that you can reproduce the plastics. Hmmm then again you can buy aftermarket plastics... so idk. This looks shitty up close tho, I kno that.

Noticed that earlier today on their website...I'll stay with period correct plastics, other than the updated front fender and plate. I can't believe Bob said my bike looks...FAT. Laughing Laughing

Is it just me or do these restyle kits just make the bikes look like Chinese copies?? The CR one looks awful and this KX one is the same.. looks like a KX Chinese knock-off from alibaba...

i have to say i agree with the original looking timeless....if i think of a generic MX bike i think of a kawi 2 stroke.

The 'facelifted' ones look cool but i'm getting to the age where i am starting to find retro/past things cool. I'm that old man that hates modern music/fashion/morals/bikes etc.

Some top looking dirtcicles in this thread though!

You may have spent the extra dough, but I guarantee the fit and finish on your bike puts the TX KIT on the back burner. Good looking ride btw.

I am surprised to read so many like the original style plastics. Me too. Here is my 2005 KX250 (foreground) and 2005 KX125.

Sold this 06 to a friend, he asked if I would modify the shrouds and I said...hell yeah, lol. To be honest, I wish UFO or any reputable plastic company would produce something similar.

Trust me having the correct gas tank is worth the extra couple hundred. Look at my post up a little bit at how these things are hacked onto the tank... gross.
