Slap some cool graphics on that mofo and it'll look kick ass! Much better that the dated stock plastic.

Some graphics arent gonna hide how big the gaps are around the gas tank that dont line up and the weird attachments.

I dont think they designed a kit thats custom to fit these bikes. It looks like they modified chinese ebay 250f plastics to fit (kind of)

From this thread you (thankfully) seem to be in the minority for thinking the stock look is dated.

The sad thing is, that correct gas tank alone cost more than this whole Restyle kit! Dizzy

Thanks man, I was going to order some graphics but I’m tired of throwing money at this for now. I finally got it together and need to tear it down again to mess with the carb, I’m kinda over it at the moment. That airbox was a tight fit and one of the screws doesn’t line up for the # plate

Tbh I’m already debating going back to stock. With this kit available, it’s “exclusiveness” is kinda gone

I’m on the fence about this kit, the new style plastics look good but so does the Old style with the modern front fender and number plate.

I'm a Kawi guy for sure. I'm seriously considering a new 19 KX 450.
I'm not saying the older Kawi 2 strokes look bad. Actually some nice ones in this thread.

But if you pull one up next to any recent year KTM of Husky 125 you'd see how dated they look.

I have a 16 KTM 125 I bought used just to play around on. I think it looks badass and modern.
That said, I really like the looks of the new plastic kit for the Kawi.
But in the end it's all subjective and it's only my opinion.

Btw, I wish Kawasaki would bring back the KX 125!

Thank you sir!

Purchased new in crate about 5 years ago... 30 hours total on motorcycle!

I love it, the exhaust note is like only a Kawasaki 250 can be, lots of thumbs up at the track and guys stopping by the truck in the pits!

I like them both old and re styled. When I find one I will do the re style as I prefer the flatter looking seat and rear fender over the scooped out version of old. Moreso the rear fender, it looks too small and points to the sky a little too much for me. Great looking scoots dudes.

That's the 07 or 08 shrouds, which is an easy mod by making a few brackets.

Thanks man, I haven’t decided if it’s worth it yet or not. Honestly the fit is pretty tight. And the ‘18 number plates were made for Kawi’s massive cans instead of a lil R-304 exhaust. I never considered it for some reason!

Ouch! lol jk
It’s really not that noticeable, until you actually notice it. I’m still on the fence about keeping the restyle, or going back to stock. I posted a stock pic a few posts up. Thoughts?

I'd leave the updated kit on there personally. I raced an '03 and loved it, but the seat sat low and looked goofy. The new style plastic is 100X better in my opinion unless your bike looks like BVM's, I'd run the new stuff.

Besides the forks, how good are these freakin 05 KX250's? I love ours! The motor is so damn good. I still need to do a back to back comparison with my 05 YZ250.

any of the newer fenders and number plates will bolt up, but you need to get to small bots to hold the number plate. On the older bikes, the plate had the posts and the newer bikes the triple clamp had the post

Anyone have this kit and know if you can bolt up 2017 kx250f plastics to this? I want to go all white but Im not sure if it will bolt up correctly, and they only sell the kit as is, no other colors.

Thought I would give this thread a bump to see if anyone has installed the 16-18 450 plastics on the 05-07 KX250...? Lots of 03-04 Kx250s adopting the 250F plastics, and 03-05 Kx125's also, but slim pickings for the 05-07's with 450 plastics. Any info is appreciated.
