Monster Energy Supercross 2

Started a career and I have about 3 hours into the game. I'm usng the advanced physics and manual weight.

Overall I'm happy with the game.

I do like the training in the career mode, it makes sense that it's there between races, but it would make more sense if there was a round of amateur races before going pro (arenacross, county fair sx, Loretta, etc.) with training. Then, depending on results, you get sponsorship offers. Or have level one training in the compound where you can train before you go pro. Then your bike handles better at your first pro race (and your ready for harder AI) and then you have a different level of training as a pro (team tracks, etc.). Overall the training and challenges are a nice addition. Sponsor and media cutscenes are pointless and we should have an option to select those but just skip over the cutscenes if we choose (they never open and game goes straight to next day in week). The idea is ok, but pointless after watching once.

no way to update it to current riders?
If you have the PC version, yes.

Picked up a PS4 last night!

I'm far from dialled, blowing chunks in 250 East right now!

Add me "St_Ann_More", let's burn some laps later boys!

The whoops are so much better in this game. Your rider is going over the bars if you screw them up and drop the front wheel or skip a whoop. I have 5 hours of gameplay and i can say with ease that this is better than the first SX game.

Imagine sensors on a rider and the bike to model perfectly the riding as 2k does for Basketball.

Imagine a career mode where you get your first bike under the Christmas tree and where you should start with a 60cc.

Imagine create your team, team manager, sponsors, custom graphics, trucks ect.

Imagine a fitness mode to develop your rider.

Imagine a legend mode.

Imagine a Vital MX championship with all of these upgrade . That would be crazy.

Imagine selling 10 million copies with over a million sold within the first week.

That would be the only way we would get that much depth into the game you are imaging.

Did a flying W last night but saved it. Very realistic except that Brock Tickle finished 2nd one race. Blush

I bought from CDKeys but still today get the following message when I try to follow the download link:

This product is a Pre-Order, it will be available here on or slightly before the release date of 8th February 2019.

Anyone else having this problem?

I can't really see anyone complaining about how much content is in MESX2 right out of the box. For our niche sport, this game is chock full of content, customization and a pretty robust editor.

Milestone has tremendously upped the game for mx/sx games as far as content goes and they are very much going the route of MLB The Show and NBA2K but on an obviously smaller budget.

Cdkeys wouldn’t let me purchase it,$39 bucks Canada, kept rejecting my PayPal and cc, so I went to steam and got it for $50 bucks instead.

Update: heard back from customer support that they "oversold" the game and ran out of download keys. Expect them to be restocked "soon" and offered me the option to wait until more are available or get a refund.

Oh, i'm not complaining. I think the amount of content is really good. MESX2 is really really good.

I was out yesterday but went to get the key today and it says the same thing for me. I emailed support so hopefully they work on weekends.

I have ordered lots of games from them and never had a issue so it is probably just a glitch.

Loving everything except the feeling that there's only one preset way to do the rhythms and if you dont do it that way, it doesnt work at all and slows you right down.

Got this emai lreply from CDKEYS:

Hi,

Thanks for contacting cdkeys.com.

Apologies for the inconvenience. We had a slight discrepancy in our actual stock level and what was displayed on the site so as a result, we have oversold some units. We're expecting to have this restocked soon, if you'd like to wait. Could you please tell us whether you'd prefer to wait or rather have a refund?

We look forward to hear from you.

Kind Regards,

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Sucks really but I also have the game on XB1 so it is not hurting me. I just want the ability to play it on the PC when I want to.

Damn this training component really sucks ass! I've spent pretty much all day grinding through it. It does make a big difference but the idea of it IMO is just a bunch of BS. I have everything unlocked, bikes all modded, and training done and I can say I enjoy SX1 better. I'm not saying this is a bad game by any means I just find it really slow and poor scaling.

Good on them for making a tougher game. Will it pay off? I'm not sure.

Yeah same here.. I mean I'm sure there's a reason and has to do with coding or something haha but it is frustrating when you juuust miss a rhythm then it's case case case case haha

That just sounds like way too much shit tbh. The training aspect is already tedious enough, now you want to add fitness training on top of that? Why not just ride for real at that point

Even with everything unlocked I still feel like braking and turn in could be better. I don’t feel like the brakes are strong enough and if you watched practice today in real life they were railing the turns. I can’t do that on the game . How is everyone turning? I used to use the left stick and use the right to turn sharp. I feel like the right stick does nothing for turns when I turn it the same direction and when I turn it the opposite direction I just wipe out.

If everyone does this maybe I'm not at as much of a disadvantage as I thought haha

I've said it before but I can only use the one stick cause of my quad hands (quadriplegic)

Oh and I'll add that it's awesome that they've changed it so you can lean back and forward with the same stick you turn with.. I'd full struggle with the whoops and landing front wheel first when coming up short on triples if they didn't do that also find myself aggressively dropping the front by leaning forward midair like Reedy haha

Man, they nailed the realism in this game; after winning a main on my stock ass 250 the prize money was so shitty I still couldn't afford an exhaust!

I think its because the clutch and low end snap isn't there like real bikes. we all know you roll then seat bounce to get a flow going again. not enough low end pop in this game. its like the clutch is fried already lol. also the teeter totter axis the bike uses makes it hard to put the bike into pockets. imo

When you disengage the clutch coming out of a corner, you put immediate power to the ground. That's what I want. Immediate power to the ground. It doesn't feel like supercross without it.

Not a rocket boost. A noticeable difference between coasting and 100% power. That's what I expect. And I expect it because in MXGP2, they knocked it out of the park. I can't vouch for MXGP3 or Pro as I haven't played them.
Are you using a manual gearbox? Are you revving the motor high into the rpm? The clutch isn’t necessary if you’re downshifting enough in my opinion.

downloading it right now for a 12y and 8y old. We all know that they will provide the most important review. :-) They're in there bouncing off the walls waiting on it to download.
