Webb

I think some took my comment a little too seriously. It appears that Herlings has become the sacred cow in the moto world.

I don't think Ken has what it takes to be champ. I dont know if he does not gel 100% with the bike or what it is. Cooper is clearly faster. I don't know if Ken will even get a win. I dont think Tomac likes the 2019 bike either They need to put him on whatever he was riding last year.

As much as I can't stand Cooper Webb, I think he's 2019 SX Champ if he stays healthy.
Agree with all of this

Who has the points lead? Everyone needs to slow down.

It is still a long series, stuff happens. I think Webb will have a big one sooner than later.

Roczen has all that is needed - I think that is a stupid comment.

Did he not win his rookie outdoor title in 450s?

The track wasn't ideal tonight for passing. Web made it happen and roczen didn't - but he wasn't far off.

SX has been hard on him - as it is for many people. I think we see a VERY patient, calm roczen this year that is pulling from dungey's formula.

in 2018 wins gained 1 extra point - just an FYI for this post
450 title wins last 10 years

2018 - 356 JA 4 wins
2017 - 359 RD 3 wins
2016 - 391 RD 9 wins
2015 - 390 RD 8 wins
2014 - 368 RV 7 wins
2013 - 371 RV 10 wins
2012 - 323 RV 9 wins
2011- 338 RV 6 wins
2010 - 363 RD 6 wins
2009 - 377 JS7 11 wins
2008 - 365 CR22 9 wins
2007 - 385 JS7 13 wins
2006 - 338 RC 6 wins

AVG winning total 363

Assume with a win counting for 1 more point now days we need - 8 more points (avg win total for a champion over last 13 years)
371 points avg'd for 17 rounds is a very likely winning total
21 points a round - or a 2.5 avg finish position

Roczen is averaging 20.8 pounts a round right now through 6
I think that was really why he was pissed last week when marvin got him last lap - as those 2 extra points may be relevant.

Cooper is crushing it - and is showing he is a force to be reckoned with - very much like the GREAT number 2 ala 1993

But I believe kenny is playing the long game and hoping to find his form by round 9-10 - and rattle off 4 wins for the season while hitting the podium every night
If web beats him and kenny hits 371 points - I think kenny will call that a victory in goals for the year.
Tomac is on the RV program - win a lot hopefully!

Wish that sportsbook law would hurry up. I'd throw some cash on him winning the title. I knew old coop was back after the last to 5th at A1 and after that first win. He will win the title or be the runner up.

Beat eli straight up on a clear track for the whole heat race. I was laughing my ass off because I knew vital would have a meltdown. Also lol at ralph saying cooper still didn't have a heat race win this year, when he literally got one tonight.

You will notice the haters and doubters from the webb threads after his A2 win not saying shit in this thread. It's not too late to get on the webb wagon guys! you can still gatekeep and shame everyone about their late season wagon jumping when at the end of the season he is still battling for the title.

Coop handle them in both the heat and main. 3 wins. He is a contender. I laughed at Keefer prediction before A1 but boy was he right.

FMOTP. He’ll be Herling’s hurtle. If he carries this speed outdoors, Herlings better hope he heals up for the MXGP. Dutchie don’t want none.

Riding well. His achilles heal has always been starts, and I guess for him going to KTM and working with Aldon has really helped his intensity from what he said and what we have seen watching the races.

I still think that any one of the top 4 could lock down the title, that is why they are where they are in points. Eli needs starts (and he did seem like he was getting better at them the few years, this year its been hit and miss), Kenny just needs the right break for a win, and I would say Marvin is in the same boat. They all rode well, Webb just got away.

No shit, 2016 outdoor Roczen would be killing these guys in SX.

So right now we have a 4 way fight for title and it’s looking good for next few races, what’s to complain about? I am like many surprised/ pleased with Webb but not a fan.

After the next 4 races we should have a better idea of how things are going to go, would be amazing if Wilson could win a couple to make it 5 in the title hunt but that just will not happen.

Heat race was impressive.

Marvin, who didn’t have much seat time coming into the season, is only 2 points back

Webb was the best recent 250 champ since RV, he's found that form again and will continue to improve to get better, I think in a year's time if he stays healthy Eli will have nothing for him, Eli doesn't have the same mental drive as Webb.

Ken is the new pointsleader without winning races.“If“ he begins of winning races he will be the real deal.Let‘s wait and see.Webb is riding phenomenal at the moment.Wink

awesome to see another win for Webb , the wait is for a battle with Tomac for a race win ...
Webb and his good starts are going to be tough to beat

Kenny back to redplate and still no win , still think he is too nice out there ..takes him too long to pass as he does have the speed ..

How did "running a train" work out for him? If you think about it all these guys can uncork some more speed for the most part but there is that fine line between checkers and wreckers and at some point you have to take a page out of boring old 4 time SX and 3 Time MX champion Ryan Dungeys book and slow down to go fast Smile

GTFOH - Webb isn’t half of Herlings on an outdoor track. And no, the Charlotte MXGP isn’t anywhere close to an outdoor track. That was an outdoor SX track. Herlings would Lap Webb on a real outdoor track.

SX track? Huh? I don't want to get into the Herlings vs Webb deal but claiming Charlotte was a SX track is laughable. I mean where are the Supercross whoops, triples and berms that are a staple of pretty much every supercross track in the world?

Charlotte was a man made MX track similar to a number of the tracks the GP's have visited over the years such as Qatar or Pangkal Pinang which the MXGP riders undoubtedly have more experience riding on.

Marvin’s fast but he never quite seems to put it together..

Webb on 250s was truly a beast. Seems like he’s found some of that fire again and I don’t know for sure but head to head with tomac, a confident Webb might be able to hang.

If you weren’t there, your opinion means shit. Even the RIDERS were saying it was more Supercross like than an outdoor. Webb was pumped about it. A lot of others were not. I live exactly 6 miles from the place. It wasn’t anything like an MXGP track. Not sure what you’re smoking, but please pass it around.

If the similarities are so glaringly obvious like you're making it seem than surely you should be able to explain them to us common folk. You know, instead of just throwing out insults and accusations.

Yea, you and the other guy that didn’t agree are probably more on point than my opinion. Man, I just remember his confidence coming into that season on the Honda and he looked like he was about to go on a long run.

Webb, on the other hand, looks SO dialed this year. The skill he has this year is so precise. Feet on the pegs, put it where he wants. These other guys better step it up before it’s too late.
