There is so much negativity on this forum, it’s really a bummer. I’ll can remember when it wasn’t so prevalent and some of us came on here to talk moto, instead of talking shit all the time.
Come on Shaun.. Most of it is the younger crowd. You know how they are now.

Sorry you felt disrespected, wasn’t my intention...

Your post is negative. It’s certainly not a positive post. And you’re basing this prediction on what ?
DNS, DNF or 8th-15th place ? C’mon man...

Yeah, I get it.
Getting burned out on all the haters. This place used to be fun, but the “new crowd” has kinda wrecked it for me ! I don’t even open half the threads on this site, because it just irritates me the way some think.

So much complaining and bashing riders, teams, guys in the booth, etc. then you get the same guys that won’t give up and just want to be an ass. It gets old...
actually, maybe I’m just getting old ??

Haha! I get it though. The negativity sucks!

On another note, are you riding this weekend?

I'm hoping to go on Sunday. Saturday is busy with the kids stuff. I'd love to get up there after a rain. It was a little dry in areas on New Years, but still fun!

I see a dog fight between Tomac, Roczen and Barcia. Holeshot Barcia with the power of that Yami combining with a long start straight??

Tomac looking to flex his muscle on a big, technical track, Roczen trying to assert himself as a top dog, and Barcia throwing everything at maintaining last week's momentum.

Anderson 4 to 7.

Just needs to finish. Preferably in the top 5.
1/10/2019 6:20pm
Two seasons ago people were sticking a fork in Barcia. He gets his first win in 6 years and he's the man to beat. The reigning champ won't even break the top 10. Surprised there hasn't been any topics about Wilson or Stewart being a title heavyweight.

He Will Not Break Into Top 5 !!! No way, no how.

I was "so proud of myself" by predicting Barcia for A1, gunna be Really P.O.M after this prediction becomes true.

I would agree it isn't positive, but it seems realistic. I think he is injured and that makes it even more unpredictable. Perhaps he comes out gets a top 5 and shuts me up. A podium though? Just don't see it happening.

This is based on last week and his competition being healthy. By no means do I think he is an 8th to 15th rider. I hope he proves me wrong though.

Unless he is a super healer- he probably won't do that much better.

You guys are jumping the gun I think. Yeah he had a bad finish at Round 1 in a mudder... but it was exactly that... round 1 and a mudder... he looked super fast on press day..? He was doing all the jumps then so no excuse for not jumping due to bad wrist injury..? Time will tell... hope he can put it on the box this weekend although even on top form that'll be difficult... top 5 would be good

It is apparent that those replying to this thread either believe that he is hurt, or that he just didn't do well at A1 because of the mud. He was charging for the first 2 laps, and even passed Barcia. About 2-3 laps in though, he started slipping back. 3rd to 14th without crashing has me believing that he is injured.

I asked about the rumoured wrist issue and was told that was a long while back. Maybe he jacked it up again because A1's result was poor. Glendale will answer some questions. Im hoping he is ok and just had a off night at A1.

Well, RV won more races in that year than JA has (or maybe even will) win in his career...

It's over. Put a fork in him. Hes outta the series by round 5. Last year was a fluke.
Several riders have thrown it away at round 1 and come back to battle for the title.

Stew in 2013 I think
RV like you said
Tomac last year

You might say it's a fluke, but I see it the other way. Tomac and Anderson both ride their best when they're chasing down points rather than protecting a points lead. JA didn't win much last year because, by round 5, he had about a race lead in the points and was basically managing points from there on.

Unless his injury magically goes away in a week, then probably the same.

The dude is done. Too much time hanging out in California and riding bird scooters with the girlfriend while everyone else is out for blood.

Too hard to tell just off last weeks performance alone. I wouldn't be surprised if he podiums, but would be surprised if he's outside the top ten. If the injury is real and he finishes like last week, I'd say time off coming up.

Rewatched the race he looked good till he was behind Malcolm and Malcolm cases the double doible HARD. Anderson got squirley right after that and then seemed to free fall. Almost as if he said to himself he didnt want to throw it away after seeing Malcolm almost go down. He was too fast for the majority of the day to blame it on an injury. Maybe arm pump i know Eli suffered from it at A1 2 yrs ago it happens...
