It seems to me that all Reed's comments about 2019 related to not accepting anything other than a ride on a factory bike. I think for him, equipment and support is the breaking point, not money.

First let me state that I wish Weston Peick all the best and cant wait for him to make a full recovery. Dude is a bad ass and I love watching him ride.

Next up, Does this mean Reed will get his JGR contract? I can't imagine WP is going to be back for A1. I know this isn't the way Reedy would like for it to happen, but racing motorcycles can be brutal. I have to think that the parties involved are already hard at work, even harder than they were before. JGRMX is always big about having a fill in rider.

Thoughts?
I don´t know...Also we have Wilson, M.Stewart and even Grant (a rider with a long relationship in JGR) without a contract for 2019. I think there is a some great options too.

That fill in ride if it indeed turns into one should go to Wilson

Reed for a better exposure/ return on investment. Dude can still move the needle! IF, IF he doesn't have a bad run and starts bagging the bike. I'd have fines for that written in.
Deano for better results. I didn't think Reed looked as sharp in Sydney as in previous years on the Yamaha even.

Just waxed everyone in NZ 3 from 3 hole shots and lead every lap, won the night and the Oceania championship some lapper right ?

Yep 1-1-1 against Deano, Brayton ect ain't bad. And his starts are on point on that bike. Them starts in AMA series will lead to good results and as soon as he thinks he's got a sniff of a podium he'll just step it up again like he always does then he starts to feel it.

Was at the races last night in New Zealand. Not only did he go 1-1-1 he set the fast lap of the night in the last race. Looked really good.

Jesus Suzuki needs to find money. Not many yellow bikes on the podium let alone going 1-1-1 in any event anywhere.

I was picking up graphics yesterday at a certain graphics company and a run of 12 sets of graphics was being done for JGR with the number 22 on it. And there were sets done already. My last name is Ray, so I saw them laying next to mine when I picked mine up.

MEC is a one-off with more than a few riders not present that Reed would have to beat if he were on the line at any given regular-season SX. Yeah, he got third there...but how many did he get in the 2018 season? How many in the 2017? I'm not slagging the guy...I'm a fan, but the main reason you sign Chad Reed any more is for the publicity. The Reeds are masterful Social Media manipulators too...and JGR could use some hype.
Who that placed top 5 in SX was out?

Ya was joking about the phone language settings...
Watched the races on YouTube. Reed looks good. He can win this year if he puts himself in good positions.

I saw the mud track with one line which Reed was fortunate enough to pull 3 hole shots.. what’s your point?
DO NOT PUT ANY WEIGHT ON THOSE RESULTS, HE WILL NOT BE ON 3, 21, 25 level come Anaheim 1.
See him with 15, 10, 27 group in the 5-10 range.

All depends how healthy and prepped he comes in. If hes signed and has the support and stays injury free he can be right back to winning and on the podium. Best bike hes been on for what 10 years?

"What's my point?" - exactly what you said yourself, he won't be a lapper, he'll be just as competitive as Dean.

We must have different definitions of one lined and mud.

Didn't watch the outdoor national he raced fresh off the couch where he held Marvin at bay for 28 of 30minutes? Didn't watch monster cup where he got a podium? And obviously didn't watch the nz race where he won all 3 Motos and pulled away from brayton who led laps last weekend in Paris and podiumed? Spec savers mate, get yourself a good deal on some new glasses. The dude can still podium, yes everything has to be going well, but the guy can still ride. At 36, you have to respect that

Just putting it out there, I’m the same age as Reed, keep in good shape and hurt every single day of my life. And my body has been through nothing compared to his. What he has done — and continues to do — is very respectable.

He may not podium every race, but most people don’t even make the main. Seriously, the amount of hate that some riders get (and Reed especially) is ridiculous. Some people need to get a fking life.

I wouldn't give the ride to wilson if I were JGR/suzuki. He didn't even test the bike when he made his vlog
