I’ve never seen an unconscious rider moved off the track that quickly. Huh

Wishing the best for WP, crappy news this morning.

Face injuries? He’ll still be the best looking man in motocross.

Heal up Weston. Glad it’s not worse.

Heal up Weston, that's a tough crash and list of injuries. Hang in there moto brother.

Always thought Weston had the chin of a prizefighter. Just hoping for the best outcome possible.

Happened in front of me. I didnt see it cuz I was taking pics but looked over as they first got to him. Immediately could tell he was in bad shape. Body was doing that rigid shaking thing. The other rider there took one look and started waving for red flag. The track workers leaned over him then jumped up and started doing the same. When they realized it wasnt happening they dragged him off which seemed like not the right thing to but it was better than getting landed on. They put him on stretcher and walked him all the way to the other side of the stadium. I think the other rider was Subeyras. Not sure what he saw but he was freaking out.

It was too bad cuz he was riding pretty well. It was also cool to see him take Friese high in one of the bowl turns. Thought for sure he was going to punt him but didnt.

Actually now that I think about it Hill went down in the exact same place the race before.

Another post says that he has a concussion. This one says he suffered no brain injuries. I hope that this one is right, since a concussion is a brain injury.

You concluded a lot from such a short post. (And possibly my geographical location).

I’m not trying to win anything. Fact is he didn’t suffer these terrible injuries from MX.

Hope Weston heals fast, this is just terrible.

Dude, none of those writing the IG posts are lawyers or doctors with the idea that people like yourself are going to break out a damn dictionary for every word.

Your point is valid on a TECHNICAL level

But get it through your head, that it's not being written by technical people, but by regular people in a likely state of shock, upset and stress.

Give them a rest on dictionary word parsing, seriously.

What the hell is wrong with people arguing about what was said or written ? Prayers to Weston and his family and when everything comes out then we will know. Makes me sick when something like this happens and people want to argue about the facts.

Wishing Weston the best, we all know he’s a fighter and he will come back stronger.

Heck I thought I killed him on the first day we had a Supercross track and he OJd the triple on the 2nd lap and whiskey throttled off the berm and knocked himself out. He got up and dusted himself off, he was done for the day, but he came back the next week and handled it.

Weston’s crash reminds me of a friend of mine crashing mid pack and knocking himself out and then he got landed on by the guy behind him and the guys tire went through the goggle opening and tore his face open. I was the first one there and it was bad, he was snoring and blood was everywhere. We had to quickly move him cause he was choking on blood being upside down on the face of the next jump. Luckily after some plastic surgery he recovered in full, but his wife won’t let him race anymore.

That is one scary description, and makes my blood boil at the lack of a red flag and proper medical treatment on the spot. WTF--is France now a third world country?

I’m wishing him well, sincerely hope he doesn’t have any brain injuries, concussion or otherwise. It’s not exactly a highly technical point that a concussion is a brain injury so it’s not unreasonable to infer that it’s stating that he doesn’t have a concussion, and not uncharitable to say that I hope that’s the case. No offence intended.

Praying for WP. I went through what I am to believe are similar injuries back in 2003. One thing I heard from numerous doctors while recovering is "your face is like the crumple zone on a car". Meaning it takes a lot of the impact in cases like these along with tough and remarkably rebuild-able. Very glad they have ruled out "major" brain injuries, also glad they aren't reporting any eye trauma. Haven't read if he was awake at some point and then they sedated him. Breathing tubes are often necessary with major jaw (upper/lower) damage just to make a clear pathway. Still very scary when you hear that he is being assisted.

Like someone mentioned above, these type of injuries will take some time, and numerous surgeries. Weston will come out in the end, he's one of the toughest we've ever seen.

Get back to the USA soon Weston!! Everyone is praying for you!

Sorry if this has been posted
To me it looks like Weston crashed hard and Cedric had no where to go but run over Weston’s head/face.

Pretty sure it's the new fly helmet that just came out or is about to be launched.
