Unfortunately some peoples narcissism knows no bounds.

Glad to hear WP will be ok in the long run, that was a horrific accident. Hopefully Soubs isn't being too harsh on himself or hasn't been effected mentally, he was merely in the wrong place at the wrong time.

FWIW, I've met her and she couldn't be sweeter. One of the few gf/wives out there taking time to interact with fans after the race, esp. the kids. She helped make a lot of new Weston Peick fans that day. I have no doubt she is beyond devastated. It's pretty shitty to assume otherwise based on a single Instagram post.

Why in the fuck were the idiot "medical" crews so quick to roll him onto a backboard? Reminiscent of when Jeremy Lusk passed in whatever 3rd world country he crashed in a while back in South America.....sickening.

So I just watched that crash video, and it's exactly 30 seconds from impact to Weston getting rolled over onto the stretcher. Seems like the medical crew really rushed things.

They have phenomenal technology in this maxial facial surgery repair, Most likely he’ll make a 95% recovery on his way to being almost as good as new. .Ya maybe, he might need some plastic surgery later, but as tough as WP is, he’ll be back on the gate by round 6 or 7 of the 2019 SX season. Positive thoughts for a fellow brother, he’ll be back.

It only takes a second to ask somebody if their neck or back hurts, and if it was an emergency they had to get him out quick. It looks like the guy at the head maintained spinal precautions. But yeah, they definitely should have red flagged the race.

They were trying to get the Red Cross flag out, which didn’t happen. It was either get him off the track or risk getting landed on again. I’m those situations you have to make split second decisions. I think they made the right choice.

That was some of the worst medical attention and decision making that I’ve ever seen.
Those promoters should be ashamed to have not Red Flagged that race.

If you watch it in slow mo you can see that he moves some on his own. Since they weren't red flagging it then they needed to get him somewhere safe. Not arguing, just saying. I know the internet has a nice way of making things seem argumentative.

Help me understand how being critical of what some may see as his fiancés self promotion any different of being critical of the track medical staff.
Maybe someone here knows one of the tracks medics and can offer some insight on his personality type or if he is good dude or not.

Silliness to be so critical of one or more members response but not others.

Props to the other rider (Soubeyras?). Looked like he was well enough to get right back on the bike and keep racing right away but stood there trying to get them to stop the race. As others mentioned I would never be able to understand their reason for not red flagging it....
