Question regarding ARC levers...

I had an off today and snapped my front brake lever and damaged my clutch perch so I've decided to replace them (stock).

I'm looking at ARC levers due to the lifetime guarantee and I noticed they have Aluminium or "Memlon"?

Does anyone own or has used Memlon? Is it any good? Seems too good to be true... Thanks in advance.

I own the Memlon. It is fantastic. You can wrap it around your hand and it doesn't break. It will slowly go back to the normal shape or you can help by bending it closer. I raced in the woods and it was a must. If you hit a tree with the lever they will bend around your hand. It still hurts but nothing broken so far. Will only use the Memlon from here on out.

Thanks for the reply! Just wanted some actual user experience. Especially on expensive products haha. I'll get a set of these can't go wrong with the warranty either!

I've bent the perch of both levers and sent mine in. There was no questions asked and they were replaced. I also asked as they were sending a box back to get another set as I have grown to love the arc shape and its a necessity for me on any bike. They gave me half off and apologized for the in-convince of having to send the levers in. Great company and will be calling to place another order for my new 2019 bike. Cant wait to finish healing and to swing a leg back over a seat.

I run the composite clutch lever and alum. Brake lever. Love them both. Great feel. They back up their product as well.

Have done ASV route and the ARC memlon are ALL OVER them! The perch is top notch as well, best in the business IMO....

I run the Memlon ARC levers on all my bikes, in almost 300 hours I've had to use the warranty one time.

It's a composite material called Mnemlon (they renamed it Memlon for marketing purposes) basically it's sturdy enough for you to pull in as a clutch but instead of snapping it will bend, and the cool thing is it will go back into its original shape if you leave it alone or bend it back yourself.

I did some further research and apparently "Mnemlon" is Greek for "Memory", the levers can take 12lbs of force before they start to flex. Average clutch needs only 8lbs so it's impossible to bend them while using the clutch normally.

I can't wait to get them now!

just make sure to get the perch. I have just the levers and they wiggle quite a bit with the stock 2017 CRF450 clutch perch.

Well guys good post day! I ordered the DC-8 (lower end) clutch and perch however I received a call from CGH Imports and they didn't have the DC-8 in stock, they were awesome enough to upgrade my order to a RC-8 (high end) if I added a little extra, so I received a discount!

Overall I'm blown away by the quality. I also went for the GNCC style front brake and a new ProX cable for good measure. Thanks for the help, much appreciated!

I've used the memlon and aluminum. I actually prefer the aluminum. I don't like the flex when grabbing and hand full of brake. I can see why alot of people like them though. Anyways arc is absolutely top notch. I find it difficult to ride without them. In my opinion no other perch or levers are even comparable. The shape of the levers alone are confident aspiring. I don't understand why other brands shape there levers with square edges on the top. Once you go arc you won't go back.

Theres a reason so many top pros use the Memlon levers, there is no comparable in the market. They are must have IMO

I love ARC levers. I’ve used them on a KX450 & KTM 450, not one damaged lever.

I know this is an old thread but thought I’d ask here before starting a new one. Any reason or benefit to using the ARC aluminum levers over the composite? I just got a 2020 KX 450. I put the ARC rotator clamps on so far. Looking to do levers too. Had the ASV C6 levers and perch on my 2017 RMZ 450 and those were nice. I had no issues with them. Decided to take the KX to a different direction using ARC instead.

I like the Melmlon levers. I have the chip type ones on my 19 Kawi 450. I like how they feel. I could be wrong but I believe they are a tad fatter than the aluminum ones if that is a concern if yours. I myself have larger hands and enjoy the bigger levers. As far as flex goes I don’t feel any.

I prefer a Memlon front brake lever because of its flex. Less geabby, more progressive front brake feel.

Whereas I'm just the opposite. I run a memlon clutch but an aluminum brake. I like the touchy, responsive brake feel, but don't notice any flex from the clutch while riding
