Golden Pine Raceway in Prentiss, MS. Would be a nightmare for logistics/airport access but man that track was beautiful and so fun.

At Swan, it's not just the track itself, which is awesome, but the infrastructure and facilities are first rate as well.

Cool video. I remember the first time I rode there. A buddy and I drove up at night, got there at about 2 a.m. and slept on a picnic table under the stars. Woke up the next morning and had had the whole track to ourselves.....Cuz the two quads there didn't count.

Monster Mountain, and I have to give a nod to Monsters sister track Mill Creek MX.

I tried pulling up GoPro from some of the tracks mentioned that I’ve never heard of.. some of you clearly have never been to a national...
I tried pulling up GoPro from some of the tracks mentioned that I’ve never heard of.. some of you clearly have never been to a national or are just spouting out the name of your local track for name sake.

Things you need at a national track:
Elevation
Wide course
Passing opportunity
Clearly defined course boundaries
Parking and infrastructure

And can we just get this out there: FT&T is NOT a race track. Calling something a “pro track” does not deem it a race track. And I’ve heard it’s teetering on closing the gates.
Freestone disagrees on the elevation

Cycle Ranch and Swan are both National quality tracks. Great layouts, super dirt, and good facilities.

The absolute best track I have ever ridden was Mid-Lake Raceway in Tallahassee (that's where my profile photo was taken) but it closed down in the mid-70's. It held a round of the Florida Winter-AM series every year that it was open. It's now the site of some high dollar homes.

Yup, way overpriced, prep work is shit, staff is a joke.

Biggest gripe was when a kid knocked himself out on the step down right by a flagger, didn't move for a solid 30 seconds. Me and a friend threw our bikes down to redirect other riders and get this kid off the track. As I was at the top of the step down pointing riders to stay to one side (I was standing less than ten feet away from a flagger, who was sitting in his nice air conditioned truck on his phone) and my friend was pulling this kid to the side of the track, next to another flagger on his phone!

Another gripe I have is the police the shit out of you if you're on a bike and above second gear riding through the pits but there are guys in huge UTVs drifting around those pits throwing up pebbles all over people's cars, trucks, and toys, guys on fourwheelers and UTVs hauling ass around other bike riders and kids on tiny bikes and they get no consequences. Went up to the tiki hut bar thing and promptly told them me or anyone from my group would not be coming back due to the lack of safety and enforcement of rules to the UTV and ATV riders, was laughed at in my face and told "Well you know they go out in those trails and we can't get them". How hard is it to wait at the trail exit or by the vehicle they are parked at?!?

Place is a joke and haven't been back since.

I like Millcreek more than Monster. But parking could be a problem there. Monster has everything already set for a national

Kind of sorta related......

I've never been there and cannot speak to those items that "Plowboy" mentioned earlier like proximity to major airports, parking or others like if there's cell phone service and, if so, the quality of that service and whether it's isolated to certain providers but i've got to commend DC and anyone else involved with adding the Ironman track to the series.

Simply from a, "that looks like a fun track I'd like to ride" perspective the Iron man track went from a place i never heard of to battling Red Bud at the top of my MX track bucket list literally overnight.

Adding Ironman to the series was a homerun as far as im concerned.

Out of all the SoCal tracks that the pros practice at on weekdays during Motocross season, Cahuilla is probably the most under rated. Most pros go to Milestone on Wednesdays which IMHO is a junk track....and the only reason they go there is because of the proximity to the factories. Cahuilla is the other track that practices on Wednesdays that a few pros show up to. And it is one of the few tracks on the practice circuit outside of Glen Helen that offers true to life national conditions. Cahuilla and The Ranch definitely could hold a national if they wanted to. Only problem is that they are a little bit off the beaten path

Honey Lake! To this day the only place I’ve ever raced where it started snowing on the line before a race

What about WW in Jacksonville?

It's flat, but they had a MXGP there.

Jeff, Where did you hear this about FT&T? It doesn't surprise me.

Monster Mountain. They say the parking is the only part holding them back. I dream of MXON coming to Monster one day.

Im a pretty big fan of Baja Acres in Michigan.
I love Baja and would consider it my home track. That being said I don't think the facility is large enough to host a national.

Alderdale mx Park, built in a canyon was the most awesome track I have ever rode, wide open up and down the sandy hills. It’s closed now Sad

Done up with a full National prep, this place could become one of the best on the circuit
