5/31/2023 11:05am It's not a good sign when you are 3 seconds off the best lap in moto 1, and 4 seconds off the best lap in moto 2.

5/11/2023 6:44am I don't ride anymore, and there are a lot of days I miss riding. But when I saw Tomac's injury, it reminded me how quickly things can go South with an otherwise mild-looking incident. Hopefully he gets well soon and doesn't have any lasting issues.

jstein639 Added a reply to Sexton to KTM confirmed?
11/30/2022 6:16am I hope there's something I don't know going on behind the scenes because it seems risky to jump off that Honda to step on the KTM (especially when Sexton consistently showed elite 1 lap speed on the Honda last year).

8/19/2022 1:52pm Just depends on how the conversation went. If they said , 2 motors in good faith - nope they can tell him to wish in one and shit in the other and see which one gets filled first. Now.. If they said drop the claim and sign a legal document and we'll give you 2 motors. It could possibly be fraudulent inducement at a very high level due to the amount of the bike he claimed. Businesses cant trick people to get them to drop something or sign something by making fake promises. Even if it was his sponsor and...

8/17/2022 4:15pm Then Donnie flat out lied in the interview you had where you clearly didn’t pay attention. Donnie says that he knew he couldn’t change Brennan’s mind, and the motors were a sign of goodwill and not a deal. 40:45 of your YouTube upload

8/16/2022 9:52pm This is such a head scratcher on how brain dead people come off, even after listening to part 3. None of these people in the industry understand the reason of the rule. Bobby says everyone has $40,000 - $50,000 bikes so the rule needs to be updated. Is that accurate or should teams/owners just understand it's an amateur race and calm down on the crazy parts? THAT'S THE POINT OF THE RULE, you can bring a $100,000 bike but know that it can and will be claimed (if the industry lets that happen instead of strong arming kids, throwing ethics...

8/16/2022 9:42pm How about this under Section 4.2 of the AMA rulebook: "A. OFFENSES This list is provided as guidance to competitors but does not restrict the AMA and meet Referee from invoking penalties for other actions detrimental to the sport that are not specifically contained herein." "19. Engaging in any unfair practice, misbehavior or action deemed by the referee or the...

8/16/2022 10:27am I would like to see the rule changed that at Loretta Lynn's, anyone can claim a bike anytime for any reason. I don't agree that it needs to be a claim from someone in the same class. I think that opens it up to this type of intimidation we have now. I think this would also allow for a lot more accountability for these factory teams putting amateurs on factory equipment. That way if someone like Harris wants a Star bike, he can put in his own claim. The rule is there for a reason. The more it's used, the...

One thing that came out from Walker that I thought was interesting: in his interview, he explicitly said that the Dealership was the one who told Walker about Brennan's claim--not the other way around. So how did the dealership get that info? In my mind, the most likely people are Yamaha, Star, or Deegan, simply by process of elimination. Maybe...
In your mind, why would it matter at all if Brennan lied? Because it's immoral to claim a bike for a mean purpose? That's an entirely separate question from whether the claim was withdrawn voluntarily which is what most people here are angry about.

8/16/2022 9:42am So it seems like everyone is calling everyone else a liar, which is to be expected, but I picked up on a few subtle things during the interviews. Donnie from Yamaha said that in the room everyone got a little heated and there was a lot of emotion.. That sounds like a nice way of saying people were arguing and yelling. Matt walker said he was trying to advise Brennan of what he thought was was in his best interests, yet was already in the room with Deegan etc before the “meeting” Walker basically denies everything and passes the blame...

I don't think people realize how much civil lawsuits cost or that only in rare cases in America does one recoup the legal fees incurred to make the claim. You'd be deposing everyone, including the different people who have made content interviewing parties. I can't even imagine the costs just for cell phone ediscovery. I can't tell you how many times people want blood, are convinced they need to make someone pay, and then start blanching when the $10,000 to $50,000 bills per month start flowing. Taking this to trial would probably be a couple hundred grand per party...

8/15/2022 10:20pm In all the protagonists own words none of them did anything wrong. The claim rule exists, everyone thinks it's a good idea unless someone does a claim. Donnie literally said he thinks it's a good rule. Yet he was in Matt Walkers pit trying to get the claim to go away.

8/15/2022 10:17pm ML - Thanks for putting this together! It's like true crime with an MX twist.
I listened to the whole thing. I'll listen to part 2 tomorrow too. I've just finished listening to the Donnie Luce and Matt Walker interviews on PulpMX too. My opinion has changed a bit, however there are definitely still some questions. To me, Tim Cotter, and Mike Burkeen come across as believable; Deegan also seemingly has a fairly small part in this whole thing (smaller than I initially assumed). That said, the Brenden is also fairly believable; there are some minor flaws (very minor...

jstein639 Added a reply to Vital Update on Deegan Bike Claim Story (interviews)
8/14/2022 8:59pm A lot of people have a very strong incentive to deny or obfuscate what happened there. There's a cause of action called tortious interference that could turn out to be very problematic. I would take almost any uncorroborated denial there with a grain of salt because distancing from that form of interference is very self serving.

8/14/2022 7:05pm DC tried to say that "(Deegan was in there as the father of the kid whose bike was claimed--he had a right to be.)" on RacerX. See https://racerxonline.com/2022/08/12/racerhead-32. I would love to know why he "had a right to be" there. The second Deegan lined up with that bike he forfeited his right to have any say in what happens...
