It's not like it's just some random dude coming off the street (even though he looks like one lol). It's Kdub. He was part of that team for a long time and he's a well respected guy throughout the industry. He'll get all the hook ups he needs. Minus the bike I suppose.

Brookhaven Honda used to help me out many years ago. That said, Kevin got the bike from Friendly Yamaha/Honda in Baton Rouge.
He will be on a factory bike for the race and should have one soon. Apparently he didn't want to wait and was ready to get practicing. I guess he isn't going to be on a 2 stroke and I'm shocked he didn't have a bike to ride for the next week or two until they send him a race bike. Unless he just wants time on the 19.

In 2000 I worked for a Honda dealership where Kevin would come in to pick up bikes. Honda arranged everything and sent the bikes there for him specifically, he wasn't picking up inventory and it getting comped. He would pick up 2 or 3 at a time and they would be fully crated. He never would tell me anything about the bikes, but I'd see him at the track with them fairly regularly. He would have all sort of random trick parts he'd be testing, multiple sets of suspension, whatever. I'd always ask Alley about certain parts and he just kinda would change the subject. I recall them testing an engine one night that had a little stubby spark plug in the head. Looked like it would have come from a weed eater or something. Again, I asked him and Alley about it and they both said they didn't know.

Needless to say, I'm really excited to see Kevin back out there. It's been a long time.

If he is in retirement shape he has a month to really take it serious if he wants to. My opinion is that TP and KW should just ride as much as possible to get their arms in shape and riding cardio in the ball park and they will be fine. Sipes is in great shape and still fast as hell he will be solid for sure. Jimmy probably didn't plan on racing. He said he just got back on a bike after his injury any ways.

Alias just announced their return to Motocross/Supercross for 2019! They will be relaunching with an all new line-up with fresh new color ways and designs. Sorry I'm not exactly sure the date but keep an eye out for them!

KDub is one of those guys that you can tell loves to ride. One of the best seasons in motocross was him battling with Ricky Carmichael. 2 stroke vs 4 stroke...what an epic time in moto.
