although the bike is good those 250fs are still grenading trannies left and right. why cant they fix that shit. its been a problem for awhile. even a few local girls I know had the same issue

Anyone been to an off road race in the last 10 years? Nothing but orange. KTM/Husky own off road. Deservedly so though. The orange and white bikes really are that good. Japs will probably never catch up. I have an 18' TE-300 and it is hands down, by far, the best bike I have ever owned/ridden.

If you watched Nationals in 2002/03 you would have been convinced two strokes are better than four. It's the riders, although the KTMs in MX2 defiantly seem to have a leg up.

You have a great memory don’t you! Don’t you know anything read/written on a forum is meant to be forgotten once you close the window.

Marvin gave it to him in Vegas but these outdoor races there is no contest between the two. I am encouraged to see KR running up front again. By the end of the series he might have a few wins so we don’t see a 24-0 run

Honestly, a bone stock KTM, Husky is probably more "race"ready than a big 4 bike for the average Joe. If you're a pro....they're all gonna need mods.

Let me get this straight... The Yamaha with everyone stating on average has the best suspension/engine in the class as well as electric start, and handles well is not ready to race as you say with the KTM/Husky? Some logic around here is priceless.

Not gonna lie. I see more white/orange bikes broke down or messed up at offroad events than all the others combined. 85-90% of the field is also on them though. Not sure what that means, but ole blue has yet to let me down.

I don't get the point of this thread. Is the OP looking to be convinced? If you want a particular brand, go buy it and learn to live with. I like my Husky a lot. It's my first new bike in 13 years. I would probably feel the same if I bought another brand. They all have their pros and cons. If you took 17% off the cost of KTM/Husky due to exchange rates The KTM prices are way more in line with the Japanese bikes. You still are not getting the lighter weight and Hydraulic clutch.The Japanese can mass produce where KTM/Husky are still almost boutique brands. It took the Japanese a long time to catch up with the e-start and I don't think they will ever catch up weight wise. Look at the price of the 19 CRF450 FE or whatever they are calling it. It is pretty much in there with KTM/Husky. So is the price of the DS Honda 450.
