“Really Weak” ?

I don’t know that I’d go that far. Yes, there are several top guys out with injuries, but there’s still a pretty fast group of guys racing.

But if love to see him pull a top 20 and score some points. I think it’s doable, but i don’t think it will come easy...,

Tomac
Musquin
Anderson
Baggett
Craig
Peick
Barcia
Roczen
Bloss
Chisholm
Cunningham
Nicoletti
C.Cooper
Mosiman
Taft
LaMay
I can see him 17th- 20th place (Hopefully)

He’ll make up time going into turns and get ate up exiting and everywhere else. He’ll also be working twice as hard. Just being in the program is a victory on a 250

There's probably lots of reasons I don't know, but could a sponsor put up an award for top 2 stroke? Obviously only if 2 or more enter..

If he rocks a true 250 to say 18th place, or thereabouts, he will be a hero. If he tries to cheat with a 300 kit, and gets caught, he will just be known as a cheater.
At least that's how I would view it.

Nope my 300 pulled harder than any bike I have ever ridden. I don't care if he sneaks a 300 in. Do it!

I dunno if you were talking to me but my thought was more for giving the privateers an option if they wanted to take it..

Kinda like how some roadracing series run superbike and supersport at the same time. If there were a couple of guys doing the whole series we could probably pool together a nice end of year purse on this site for top finisher using olympic scoring (moto placement is your score, 24 motos, lowest total score is 2 stroke champ)

I wonder how built that engine is? You can make plenty of power out of them if you want. You would just need to be in extra good shape to use it because of how peaky it would be. But I bet it's mostly stock, I don't see them putting a lot of money into the program.
I really hope he kicks ass on that bike out there, I'm definately a fan of the guy.

Two weeks ago I rode a 300SX and a Rockstar Edition 450 back to back.
300 pulls to harder, even with a flywheel weight and the softer map. Too hard, that is why the 450 is faster.

Bob. PC pipe, a head mod and some base gaskets fix the top end.

Wish the 300 was legal, it is needed to make the two stroke competitive with the 450's

True.....the gap between 125 - 250F is definitely bigger. A well tuned 250 2 stroke can give most dudes all the power they can handle on a track. Guys like Eli , Marv , ect...on full blown works 450's......yeah it'll be out shined. But it's well capable of scoring points inside the top 20 with the right guy twisting the throttle. My guess?.....17th - 23rd , but who knows.

They are the best dang race shop in the NW I think. I've been using those guys going on 25 years now , and they have helped me in so many ways over all those years......I'll be sticking with them until I hang my boots up.

I'd love to ride one. A few of my friends have 300XC's with a bit of head work and the SX ignition. I always felt the 250's seemed to be more "rev happy". What kind of squish are you running on those 300's?
