Also it's not like RV was the one guy who beat Dungey, he got beat by Roczen as a rookie and I know Roczen's a world class talent but I feel that is a bit of a blemish on Dungey's career.
2013 absolutely when you look at RV’s competition that season you would honestly have a strong argument that it was the best MX season ever.
IDC what anyone says Dungey deserved that 2011 title more than RV. His consistency should have probably netted him the 2011 SX title too, despite only 1 win that year. RD lost by 10 points indoor and had a chain derailment and 12 outdoors with a DNF due to bike issues and had a bad 2nd moto after starting almost a lap down. I know ifs and buts, but Dunge really got screwed that year from mechanical issues.
Using your logic is it fair to say Tomac deserved the SX title last year? His front brake failed and hindered his result in a race, and I would definitely say it cost him more points than he lost the title by.
After that, it took the team a few years to work out a brand new bike, I’m amazed he won at all the first year or two on orange.
