70s MX racing. Got pics?

 Here's one from 1974 at Winchester Ohio.  1st semi-pro race on my Husky CR250.  Just before we started moving the shocks forward to get more travel.   

Madera Lakes, Ca...1978.  After buying the bike, could only afford the boots and helmet at that point. 

In my day we called that CROSSED UP!!!

Wish I had pictures but I will try to paint with words. Raced a 77 XR75, 79 YZ125 and an 83 KX250. All were purchased used. My dad would work on them in the garage. He rebuilt engines, ported and polished cylinders, used higher compression pistons, better intake manifolds (he made the one on my XR75 by hand), installed better exhaust systems, rebuilt suspension systems and replaced all hosing. He did all of this because we could not afford new bikes with mod engines and expensive suspension. 
 

All of the bikes were more than competitive and I never had a DNF. It’s amazing what I man can do in his garage if he sets his mind to it. Thanks Dad! 

 Here I am, busting out the 125C holeshot, 77 Husky 125...not sure if this is Cambridge MN but for sure MN D23..
