Any relation to Cooper Webb?

Great ride in the second moto for sure. The start is everything. I think he will get top ten in a couple motos here in the final rounds.

Anyway... I was hoping to see him smiling or being excited on the podium considering what he just did but he was the definition of pumped but not really pumped. Grinning

Good for him though! It never fails that something amazing happens at a rookies first professional race.

A few others tried it a few times but he was consistently doing it during the first moto! it was crazy because he'd clip the top it was sketchy a few times but he rode great. grew up racing with him in the 65 and 85 classes and he has a ton on skill on arenacross tracks so he should do well with supercross next year great to see him do so well

He was doing it in qualifying. Not sure how much faster it was. Looks a bit faster. He finished about where I expected.
He also did it on the first moto, can be seen when there are 1:40 left for the end..

His weekend was off the charts ridiculous but what's even worse for his competition is that he got a mid pack start in Moto 1 and worked his way up to 12th. 6th through 12th were basically running the same lap times the 2nd half of the moto. A better start(which he usually gets) and he would have had a podium overall. He looked like a veteran out there from the first practice to the checkers in moto 2. The kid has ice running through his veins.

Right?! Incredible riding. I think he for sure can be top 10. Really impressive to watch, and in terrible conditions to boot.
Where are you guys saying he did that at on the track?? I guess I didn't notice that he was doing anything any different.

As an NJ native and raceway park regular I've been rooting for him for awhile. I say in or near top 10 each moto for the rest of the year, then hopefully breaking top 5 next year with a bit more experience. This kid is a phenominoal tatlent and makes no excuses for himself. He wasn't one of those kids who raced out of the back of a $100k hauler from the time he could throw a leg over an 50.

I hope you didn't think I was serious. But yeah now there's only one step to go from that moto finish. Shorter moto and mud definitely benefitted him.

Always great when someone comes out of nowhere to do what he has done in the last few weeks....but when was the last time Long Island had something to crow about in MX? I live in upstate NY & have never heard of the kid until the last few weeks...how about a little more background info....

I've seen him show up at the KROC race at Englishtown the past few years. Ripping a YZ250 two stroke and stomping the competition. Seems like the support from Rock River helped him travel to more national stuff in the AM's. I know he's a high school grad, and even attended some college. FiFiFo will be able to tell you more. Him and Justin are pretty close.

I can second that, there has been some fast guys racing KROC and no one has put that much distance between everyone else after 1 lap. Even earlier this year I would see him out at at E-town with a bike in the back of a pickup and a toolbox burning laps all day.

Timing and scoring shows him 13th on lap 1

The turn after gravity cavity we had him 16th and I know he made some moves before that. He had a good first lap ...so yeah, 13th after lap one wouldn't surprise me.

Most of the top 15-20 guys were doing it in 250 A Practice #2 but the line must have gone away because the 450's didn't do it.
