I own and tattoo out of my own studio and browse around on here in between appointments. Motocross isn't popular at all where I live so when my clients want to talk about football, hunting, diesel trucks, etc. I have to pretend like I give a shit. It's nice to have a platform like Vital to talk to other moto heads. I don't ride mx anymore, risk vs reward isn't worth it as I have a family to support by showing up to work every day, but I love the sport and love reading the forum!!

Why are you here posting or lurking on the moto forum??? Obviously it's because you like moto, but are you slacking off at work when you should actually be working?? Trying to get away from the wife or girlfriend?? Are you a couch potato?? Are you a Work-o-Holic and can't get away from the desk?? Or, just checking in when you have time between everything else in your chaotic life?? How many of you only use your phone to browse the forums?? How many of you are young and haven't hit the "WTF happened to my life" stage yet??

For myself, unfortunately, I'm at the desk nearly 16hrs a day. I know, waaay too much. I don't want to be here, but I'm a business owner and I'm putting out fires all day/night long. So the only way to keep my sanity is to frequent a few forums in between all the madness. I have a 4-monitor setup. Three monitors are for business and one is for the web...I look forward to Saturday's so I can get work done while listening to the races....pretty sad huh? Things have to change...

I have a feeling there are many more prisoners out there like myself?
I'm here strictly for the material.

Seriously - because I love MX. I've stayed because I've made some really good friends - even if we've never met.

Slipbro has taken good care of my bikes at very fair prices. He's an expert at dialing in a motorcycle. Plus, he gets all my Seinfeld based jokes and ripoffs.

Wreckbro is a riot and cracks me up all day long. Wise beyond his years.

Peelbro keeps me laughing, and believe it or not, somewhat balanced about how I look at some things. BTW, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Peelbro!

Cambro has got me ripped and tanned (is today leg day?).

Crushbro is an awesome Aussie brother from another mother. I would punch him for saying the 2018 Yamaha is ugly, but he's like 7 feet tall and built like a linebacker.

Jeffbro. You gotta admire his passion about moto. He's like a Marine in that you can have no better friend and no worse enemy.

I could go on about more of you, but you get the idea. Those guys above, and a few more I've left out, have an open invitation to come get some gator tail, stay for free in our house, ride my motorcycle, swim and enjoy my passion and talent at smoking ribs, chicken, brisket, pork butt, fish, corn, etc. Not to mention all the free beer and whiskey they can handle.

To answer a couple of your questions, BDB, I'm not young, but often feel like it! I use my phone and a desktop to keep up here.

Prisoner #2 here. I don't own my business, it owns me. Kept it somewhat small and manageable but in doing so have locked myself into having to be here. So, Vital stays off to the side for easy checking throughout the day for my constant moto fix.

Keep checking in, anxiously awaiting when MX Sports finally does away with the ridiculously outdated "Double Displacement Rule", and we get to hear a full gate of 125cc bikes on the line again at a National.

I as well own my own company with my Dad and can understand your pain. I come here in between dispatching trucks and being b*tched out by drivers. 29 and married, I've been riding since middle school with a group of buddies that have moved away/stopped riding. I ride as often as possible and attend as many races as possible. Driving up to Muddy Creek first thing tomorrow !!!

I'm on here looking for insider info, general humor, parts for sale and bike builds. Currently half way through my complete tear down of my CR125 and their are multiple people documenting their progress which is awesome!!!

Love the sport, and for the most part I enjoy this community of knuckleheads. It's also a good diversion from the knucklehead salesmen that I have to ride herd of all day every damn day around my workplace. Vital keeps me sane...

I have to make sure and get on a few times a week to be sure and get my money's worth. Plus I've sold about 1/2 my driveway to members here.

I don't work 16 hrs a day, but it's always been an escape for me as well. I will pull it up on my phone during the day while I'm stressed at work, sometimes just to chill for a few minutes , then go back at it. At night, I don't watch a whole lot of tv these days, so it's something to do, other than talk to the wife of course haha. Its also lately an escape from all the bad shit going in in the world these days.

Just curious what type of business warrants 16 hr work days?...there is a saying that has always stuck with me "No man has ever layed on his death bed wishing he had spent more time at the office"
Two years ago I would have agreed, but now I definitely wish I had spent more time at the 'office'!!!

Well, this office anyways, not the ones the previous 20 years........

I'm just here for Non-Moto.

Seriously though...I've been on the forums since 2002...First Motoworld.com, then it tanked so I hopped over to Motodrive (while lurking at motonews...I wasn't about to pay)...then motodrive became Vital.

To be honest...I don't know why I'm here...habit?

I do like to bench race...I do like to see peoples views on the sport who live in different parts of the world...I do laugh at things people post (that bear sitting at the picnic table, for example)...but there sure is a bunch of nonsense these days.

It SEEMED like, back in the day, that there was more "quality" content (insider news, pro riders posting regularly-without an alias-industry peeps-team managers, mechanics, etc-that alone made the forums rad)...

So I can brag about posting here and people will think I am cool and want to be me.
Pretty simple, actually.

Entertainment, pure and simple. Unless someone is writing you a motocross-related check, motocross is just entertainment. (We forget this sometimes).
